FriendFilter Review: Best Friend Filtering App for Facebook

Facebook bridges connections. It makes connecting with family, friends, and even business a whole lot easier and more personal even without seeing each other face to face.

For most social media users who consume Facebook, the problem of having too many friends may not be new at all. Back in the days when Facebook was still a budding social media site, it was marketed as a platform to meet various people around the globe; hence, the implication of having thousands of friends is normal and cool.

Times have changed. Such a concept is not completely acceptable anymore.  Instead of adding more, this is the time to cut-off ties with Facebook friends.

Fueled by the rising concern on privacy, of course, as an individual, it would be appropriate to limit personal data exposure to specific sub-sets of online friends. Apart from security threats, removing unnecessary Facebook friends results in a cleaner, and fun newsfeed.

From the business perspective, the goal for social media connections has gone from directly connecting with friends, to making actionable connections where profitable results could be gained. This is very true when it comes to businesses that are trying to get to their target market through the use of social networks like Facebook.

For instance, if a business profile has 1000 members in a group and 300 are not engaging with the posts, not commenting, not reacting, and not sharing, then they become dead connections. This means that campaigns do not multiply through them. Although the ratio of those with live links is lower, these dead connections could hurt a campaign just the same.

Deleting a bunch of inactive friends is possible. However, it is a time-consuming process. That’s why third-party applications are developed outside Facebook to aid users facing difficulties such as friend list removal. These social media management tools are beneficial for both individuals and businesses, towards a more refined, and safer social media profiles.

In this review, we will highlight FriendFilter. Read on to know more about its features, how does it work, and how individuals and businesses gain massive success by an effective friend list management.

What is FriendFilter?

FriendFilter Review

From the term itself, FriendFilter filters the friends’ list. This includes groups and pages that have numerous followers.

Social media marketers would know how much one person connected to any of these Facebook groups and pages is worth. One connection equates to a whole new network. In a way, once a person connects with one person, giving access to his contacts, therefore extending the reach immediately.

FriendFilter does not merely give the numbers; it also offers an in-depth analysis of the data, allowing to see what every individual’s activity was for a specific span of time. This way, the business or the individual can see who among the list of friends or members are sharing the posts, who are commenting or even reacting on some of the content throughout the page.

The good thing about this is that businesses can quickly scale who among these individuals are positive to help with the campaign promotion.

How does FriendFilter Work?

FriendFilter Review

FriendFilter works with algorithms. Through recording data based on the activities that certain friends or members, FriendFilter can identify who among these individuals are active and who are merely staying dormant.

This works by setting a comparative note on your posts to a number of people. The record of activities that every individual engages with is recorded through a system on Facebook, which FriendFilter fetches for reference to results.

Once you install FriendFilter extension into your browser, it will run on the background as the user navigates to a Facebook profile, page, or group. It will automatically fetch the necessary data it needs in order to compile required for the analysis.

The first thing FriendFilter will do is to scan the profile, page, or group.  After this, FriendFilter will scan the posts. Through the FriendFilter dashboard, users obtain access to view the active and inactive tab. Clicking on either will show you the data.

To summarize how it is done, FriendFilter reads all the posts on a Facebook page and examines the likes, comments, and shares. These are then gathered and reported back to the dashboard, pointing out who is engaging and how often. The system will allow profile owners to whitelist friends who you do not want to be removed. Then it will take the rest of the list and will enable them to filter and add the non-engaged users to the removal list.

Also, users can change filter preferences through the settings, which includes the preferred period to check the activities.

There is a fair, free version of FriendFilter that offers all the necessary services that you need and expect from a Facebook friend filtering app.

If paying for the membership subscription, users can opt to delete inactive members or friends by bulk. However, users must bear in mind to avoid bulk deleting of friends as Facebook may block the user. It is recommended to remove inactive friends and members by tens at least every five hours so that Facebook will not flag the profile, group, or page.
