How to Handle Life When It Throws You Curveballs
Trevor here with eCommerce Paradise.
This episode is about how to handle life when it throws curveballs.
There are going to be all sorts of things that will happen throughout your life. Every day is just a matter of how you react to things and how you deal with them.
Lately, I've been building a membership site, and dealing with the craziness that goes along with that is just nuts. Every single day I'm moving around; it's a digital nomad lifestyle, working from coffee shops and working from home and stuff like that. What ends up happening is that I have to go to different places.
I went to a coffee shop this morning to work on my drop ship site. I got a lot of work done, and then I went over to get some lunch salad and juice. I came back to my coworking space. I went down there, and I was going to charge my laptop that's dead and saw no charger in my backpack. My wife had the keys to the apartment, so I couldn't go back there. And then my buddy Michael came down and started hanging out with me.
I hang out with him for a little bit. It was fun masterminding a little bit about sales funnels and building membership sites and courses and stuff like that. We're both working on the same sort of idea in different niches. It's pretty cool to hang out with the mastermind. And that's what I did there. I probably sat with him for about half an hour. After that, I left there and decided to go across the street to Starbucks.
I think I went over to the Internet station, and behold, Riley Bennett, my buddy from the Living That Life YouTube channel, was at the Starbucks. I was walking, and he must have seen me. He put me on his Instagram stories, which is really cool. We met up and talked probably 20 minutes outside of Starbucks about sales funnels for our membership sites because both he and I are both working on a membership site. I know that I'm going to be able to promote and work with these guys in the future as they build their site out. One of my goals is to help them understand it so they can build their business better, and they can then provide me some perspective on my business so that I can improve my business, too.
It was great. I was able to talk to really good people for a while, and I had fun. I was also able to get a massage. Massages are super cheap in Bangkok, and for me, they are the best. They put their elbows into you, and they stand on you and step on you and kick your muscles and stuff like that. It's really actually an amazing experience. If you had never had a Thai massage, you got to experience that. I'm a skateboarder, so my muscles tend to get messed up every single day. Having Thai massage really does help me stretch out and get the muscle kneading that I really need.
After I get a massage, I went over to the skate park. It kind of reminds me of Cherry Park back in Long Beach, California. It was a good session. I was trying to learn some tricks that got some kind of close to a few of them. What I love about this place is all the Thai people are really cool. There's a company in Thailand called Preduce Skateboards and produces the main brand in Thailand, and they're based out of Bangkok.
It's kind of cool building out these this membership site, because what I'm doing is I'm recording my process of being able to hack niches. Finding all these great dropship niches, finding competitors to model, finding suppliers to get finding keywords to target, and finding Amazon affiliate sites in the same niches that I can model after and create similar sites as well. It's a lot of fun doing this because I know that I'm going to be able to create tons of case studies for this membership site in the future. And that's my idea. So, I'm working on building the first one right now and then, of course, will be based on that at first. And then, as each case study evolves from there, I'll be building out separate case studies as well. It's going to be a lot of fun doing that and inside.
Of course, I'll be listing all the income that I make from those case studies, so all the people that are enrolled in the course will get to see the income reports for those case studies. It'll be really interesting to see a kind of experiment and, of course, all the curiosities that are there, too. Anybody who wants to enroll in the course will get access to all the news reports. And like I said, it basically goes over tons of different dropship niches, competitors you can model, suppliers you can call and get that are dropship friendly, and keywords you can target, and amazon affiliate sites. Tons of plans in work, and I do these daily blogs now because my idea is that I really want to get a lot of stuff off my chest, and I love telling my story, and it's a lot of fun.
It's awesome, guys.
