Is High-Ticket Drop Shipping Dead?

Aug 30, 2019 0 comments

I want to address this common thing that we keep seeing out there called Drop Shipping is Dead.

Dropshipping is simply a method of fulfillment, it is not even necessarily an entire business model. The business behind dropshipping is actually called ecommerce. Ecommerce is selling things online.

Dropshipping means when you sell something online. The manufacturer or supplier ship it directly your customers.

I am based in Bankok, Thailand and I can just build a website on my laptop using Shopify ecommerce platform. Then I can run paid advertising to it through Google or Facebook and make sales.

When I make a sale on my website, I call my supplier and fulfill the order. I will have them ship the product directly to my customer.

Dropshipping is not dead, it is alive and well. One great example is Wayfair.com. It is one of the biggest dropshipping sites out there. They do a lot of dropshipping. They work with brands from all over the United States.  Wayfair has been around for a long time. It was originally known as CSN stores and even before that, they had 250 different niche-specific. That means product category-specific websites. Now, they have merged it into one called Wayfair.

There is also another ecommerce company called Houzz that is the same with Wayfair.  You can check the website and see if there are sellers that can do drop shipping too then you can build a niche-specific store around it. To check if the supplier or seller does drop ship, you just have to look for their website if they don’t have a physical store. Most likely, they do dropship.

In Houzz.com, I can see the Quality Bath supplier. I have checked their website qualiitybath.com and saw an address. I googled the address and found out that it does not look like a warehouse. With how it looks, I can say that they do dropship.

High Ticket Dropshipping is a model that is a little bit more involved than AliExpress dropshipping but you can make a lot more money per sale. Your average profit is $100 to $200. I want to let you know that it is definitely not dead. High Ticket Dropshipping works right now, it is very much alive. You can get products all over the place. Houzz, Wayfair, and Amazon are a great place to go for product ideas.
