Scuba Diving USS Liberty Shipwreck in Bali
This dive in Bali was a lot of fun!
I'd been meaning to see this wreck for quite some time and it didn't disappoint...
The wreck was HUGE and there was debris all over the place.
You could tell that it got completely destroyed when it was hit by the torpedo.
I booked my dive trip with a local dive company via booking.com.
They picked me up at my villa in Sanur around 8 am, took me to the dive resort on the east coast of Bali which was a 2-hour drive, and provided lunch and snacks.
The instructor was great.
I got 2 45-minute dives out of the package so for about $100 USD it was well worth it.
I had one scary moment during the second dive when I was descending...
I didn't equalize enough and my head started hurting really bad.
I didn't realize what was happening but I equalized as much as I could and the pain went away.
I should have just gone back up until it felt better (and I will next time) but this time I didn't know...
So the next day I had a mild nose bleed while I was surfing and looked it up and it's called "sinus squeeze" or "barotrauma" where your sinus gets hurt...
It can be dangerous but luckily for me it wasn't that bad.
So I took it easy and I was fine after a few days the blood disappeared.
Anyway, have a fun trip if you decide to do this dive and let me know any questions you have in the comments below.
