The Trials and Tribulations of Building a Membership Site

In this episode, I will tell you about my membership site.

I'm so happy and excited when I was building the membership to help people build businesses, profitable online businesses that are location independent. But then it was a struggle. It was funny that I learned things as I go. 

All these things about setting up online businesses changes all the time. The technology, all the apps, and techniques changed, and I realized that as I build my membership. For instance, the G suite is interesting to set up. Sometimes it takes a while to verify your domain. And then I just got an email saying that the name and the credit card information didn't quite match up. What I did is I just went and bought a different domain from GoDaddy. 

Another thing that happened to me, I spent an entire half an hour trying to film a video on how to set up Shopify, and it went really well. Right at that half-hour mark, for some reason, I think my computer is like 15 percent, the screen flow app just crashed, and all the video footage was gone. I had to film the video for the second time, which is a pain, but I'd rather be spending my time building out a membership site, teaching people how to start a business that not. 

People are willing to pay for a membership site. It is one of the coolest things ever to have an online business that's location dependent. You can travel the world and work from home, whatever that lifestyle you always dreamed of living. All it takes is just some marketing experience, you know? And that's what I'm here to teach you about.

I'm so excited about the things that I am doing and plan on doing, but of course, I have to keep in mind that there will always be obstacles that pop up. You're just going to have setbacks, things like telling yourself you're not good enough or that things are too hard or there's going to be technology hold-ups. You just have to work through those things. I'm just working through them day by day. That's the way to go. 

Building a membership site is exciting but challenging. It's not an easy thing to build. You have to understand sales funnels and what people need. You have to understand how to break down a core structure and follow through on it and just do it.

I like location independent businesses. I know that one stream of income is not enough and that you should have multiple income streams. I like setting up multiple streams of income. Some more active than others and some are passive. Some take different types of follow up, and some are based on passion. 

I teach high-ticket dropship because I think most people can do it. It is easy for most parts as long as you understand that you should look for a profitable niche and not something you're passionate about. 

The other thing I teach is how to do Amazon affiliate sites. It's really easy to set up, and they're easy to maintain and manage. It's pretty much a passive source of income, and it goes alongside the dropship site in the same niche that you build. 

The next thing is the membership site. It doesn't even have to be in that same niche, although it could be. But it has to be something you can teach so it can be in a completely different niche, something you're passionate about, whether it be cooking or fitness or meditation or whatever you want to do. You can set up a membership site, and you just basically outline it. You make a course, and you make some kind of continuity out of that, and you get people into the funnel using YouTube and other methods.

These are the trials and tribulations of building a membership business. It's new territory for me, and exploring new territory always comes with pitfalls, but it's a lot of good experience. It's interesting, and it keeps me on my toes and keeps me alive and kicking and screaming.
