Are you looking to host your podcast on a platform that is really easy to use and simple?
When I first started with my podcast, I was trying to use LibSyn. It was really confusing, technical, and complicated. Then I decided to switch to PodBean. I have been using PodBean for a few years now. I have had a great time using it. It is easy, simple, and does not require the technical stuff. They even self host your podcast on your own website for you. It is not like the most amazing looking website but it gets the work done.
First and foremost, PodBean is just like any other podcast distribution network. It is a place where people can upload their podcasts. You can go and listen to the Podcast. They also have an iPhone app to make it easy for you to listen to their podcasts.
IT will show the number of downloads you have for Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, and all the time.
There will also a graph that will show the trend.
It is easy to publish a podcast. The first thing you have to do is click on the +New Episode button on the upper left portion of the website. Choose the file to upload. Type in the title of your podcast and put the description below. On the left side, you choose what platform you want to share it to. The choices are Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler, WordPress, and YouTube. Then hit publish.
It will allow you to make your own website by choosing a layout. You can also make sidebar widgets, pages, and you can edit code.
A deeper display of your podcast statics. It will show where your market is, top episodes, download time of the day, user agents, and user retention.
You can offer premium signup. It is a membership thing where you have a regular recurring revenue system set up.
If you are interested in more info on how to get started with the podcast. Just search on YouTube about podcasting 101 or podcast for beginners. There’s a lot of free content out there.
I have been doing this for a couple of years now. It is not super professional but it is working for marketing for my niche. I am happy about it and I think you should start a podcast no matter what niche you are in because it is a great way to reach your audience.
