Alliance Virtual Offices Pricing 2026: What a Virtual Office Really Costs

Alliance Virtual Offices Pricing 2026: What a Virtual Office Really Costs

Alliance Virtual Offices does not have one price. It has more than 1,400 of them, because the monthly cost of a virtual office depends on which building you pick. A Manhattan address starts at $49 a month at one location and $125 at another, a few blocks apart. That is the first thing to understand before you compare it to anything else.

This guide breaks down what you actually pay: the plan ladder, the 6-month term, the add-ons most people end up needing, and the real first-year cost for a store owner who just wants a business address that holds up on an LLC filing and a supplier application. Every price here came from Alliance’s own site on 23 September 2026. I run Ecommerce Paradise, and this is the same decision I walk students through when they set up their company. If the model is new to you, start with what high-ticket dropshipping is.

Get a Real Business Address From $49 a Month

Alliance Virtual Offices gives you a street address in a staffed office building, with mail handling and on-demand meeting rooms, and it lists no setup fee.

The Short Version

  • Plans are priced per building. Alliance lists a starting price on every location. In New York City the listed starting prices run from $49 to $125 a month. In Las Vegas they run from $45 to $89.
  • Four plan options per location. Platinum, Platinum with Live Receptionist, Platinum Plus, and Platinum Plus with Live Receptionist.
  • The term is 6 months on the plans I checked, not month to month.
  • Setup is free. Alliance shows a $200 setup fee struck through and charges $0.
  • Mail forwarding is extra: $10 a month for monthly forwarding, $20 bi-weekly, $30 weekly at most locations.
  • A virtual phone number is $30 a month. A live receptionist starts at $125 a month for 50 answered minutes.

The Plan Ladder at One Location

Here is a real example so the structure is clear. This is the Modern Chelsea Office Center at 159 W. 25th Street in Manhattan, one of the cheaper New York addresses:

Plan Price Term Setup
Platinum $49 a month 6 months $0
Platinum with Live Receptionist $174 a month 6 months $0
Platinum Plus $149 a month 6 months $0
Platinum Plus with Live Receptionist $274 a month 6 months $0

Two things to notice. First, the jump from Platinum to Platinum Plus is $100 a month at this address, and what you get for it is included monthly meeting room time. Alliance says meeting rooms are included monthly with Platinum Plus plans, and bookable on demand with any plan. If you never sit down with anyone in person, that $100 buys you nothing.

Second, adding a live receptionist costs $125 a month on top of either plan, which lines up exactly with Alliance’s standalone Live Receptionist 50 plan.

What Every Virtual Office Plan Includes

Whatever building you choose, Alliance lists the same core:

  • A business address in a real, staffed commercial office building, not a PO Box or a mailbox store
  • Professional mail handling, with mail received and sorted by on-site staff
  • On-demand meeting rooms and day offices, bookable through the site or app
  • Use of the address for LLC formation, entity registration and business bank accounts
  • On-site concierge support, across a network Alliance lists at 1,400-plus locations

The practical value for a store owner is the second-to-last line. Your home address stays off your state filing, and what goes on the paperwork is a commercial street address rather than a residential one. I cover why that matters in my guide to getting a business address without renting an office.

The Add-Ons, and What They Cost

Add-on Price Worth it when
Mail forwarding, monthly $10 a month You want physical mail but are not in a hurry
Mail forwarding, bi-weekly $20 a month You get supplier checks or compliance notices
Mail forwarding, weekly $30 a month You are abroad and need documents quickly
Virtual phone number $30 a month You want a business line attached to the same account
Live Receptionist 50 $125 a month You lose sales because calls go unanswered
Live Receptionist 100 $175 a month You take more than about 80 answered minutes a month
Live Receptionist 200 $260 a month The phone is your main sales channel

Alliance says mail forwarding prices apply at most locations, so check the building you pick.

The Live Receptionist Numbers in Detail

This is the part of Alliance’s pricing that catches people out, so it is worth its own section.

Plan Answered minutes Price Cost per included minute
Live Receptionist 50 50 $125 a month $2.50
Live Receptionist 100 100 $175 a month $1.75
Live Receptionist 200 200 $260 a month $1.30

Go over your minutes and Alliance charges $1.75 a minute. It says you are not notified automatically when you run over, and that you see it on the invoice at the end of the month, although it does not charge overage in your first month of service. You can change plans at any time.

Run the math before you pick the cheapest tier. On LR 50, 30 minutes of overage costs $52.50, which takes you past the price of LR 100 with its extra 50 minutes included. Receptionists answer Monday to Friday 8am to 9pm Eastern and Saturday 9am to 7pm Eastern, so nights and Sundays go to voicemail either way.

What It Actually Costs in Year One

Here are four realistic setups for a high-ticket store, using the $49 Manhattan address as the example plan.

Setup Monthly First 12 months
Address only, mail collected in person $49 $588
Address plus monthly mail forwarding $59 $708
Address, weekly forwarding and a virtual phone number $109 $1,308
Address, weekly forwarding and Live Receptionist 50 $204 $2,448

For most store owners starting out, the second row is the honest answer. You need the address on your filings, and you need the mail that arrives at it to reach you. The receptionist becomes worth it only when missed calls are costing you orders, which in high-ticket happens sooner than people expect, because a $4,000 buyer who cannot reach anyone calls the next store.

The Costs That Are Not on the Price Page

The 6-month term. The plans I checked are 6-month terms, so a $49 address is really a $294 commitment. Budget for that rather than assuming you can cancel after a month.

The CMRA form. Before anyone can handle your mail, federal rules require you to file a completed USPS Form 1583, which authorizes a commercial mail receiving agency to receive mail on your behalf. The rules behind it sit in the USPS Domestic Mail Manual. Alliance provides free online notarization and says most clients finish the same day, but your address is not usable for mail until it is done.

Your state’s filing rules. Alliance markets its addresses for entity formation, registration and business bank accounts, but state rules vary, and the SBA’s guide to registering your business is the place to start. Some states attach extra costs to where your registered address sits, so check yours before you pick a city.

Google Business Profile is not guaranteed. Alliance states plainly on its location pages that it cannot guarantee acceptance into Google Business Profile, and that approval is up to Google. If your plan is to rank in local map results, do not buy a virtual office expecting that to work.

What You Are Actually Buying

It helps to be clear about what a virtual office is and is not, because the name confuses people.

You are buying the right to use a commercial street address as your business address, and to have staff in that building receive your mail. You are not renting a desk, and nobody sits at that address on your behalf. The building is real and staffed, which is the difference between this and a mailbox store.

What you get on top of the address is optional. Meeting rooms and day offices are bookable by the hour when you need somewhere to sit down with a supplier rep or a client. A receptionist answers in your company name during business hours. A virtual phone number gives you a business line to put on the site. Each is priced separately, which is good, because most store owners need the address and very little else in year one.

One more thing worth knowing before you compare prices: Alliance lists social proof on its city pages, including “Trusted by 25,000+ businesses”, a BBB A+ rating and a Trustpilot score of 4.2 out of 5 from more than 1,700 reviews. Those are its own claims, but they are checkable, and they are a reasonable starting point for judging whether a provider will still be there when your mail is.

How the Sign-Up Cost Breaks Down Month by Month

Because the term is 6 months, the first bill and the ongoing bill are not the same thing. Here is how it plays out on the $49 plan with monthly mail forwarding, before any promotion:

When What you pay
Signing up $0 setup, plus your first month at $49 (plus $10 if you add forwarding)
Months 2 to 6 $59 a month, committed under the term
Total over the term $354
After the term $59 a month until you change or cancel

Alliance also runs per-location promotions, and the ones I saw included a free next month and 50% off the next month at specific buildings. Those change, so treat them as a bonus rather than part of the budget, and check whether the promotion applies to the building you actually want.

Three Ways People Overpay

Buying Platinum Plus for an address you will never visit. The extra $100 a month at my example location buys included meeting room time. On-demand booking is available on the cheaper plan, so if you meet clients twice a year, book the room twice a year and keep the $1,200.

Choosing the prestige building. The plan ladder looked the same at the $49 and $125 New York addresses I checked. A supplier checking your application sees a commercial street address either way. Unless the street name is doing real marketing work for you, pick the cheaper building.

Starting on the smallest receptionist plan and running over every month. Past about 30 minutes of overage a month, Live Receptionist 50 costs more than moving up a tier. Check the invoice after month two and size the plan to what you actually used.

How This Compares to a Virtual Mailbox

A virtual mailbox service scans your mail and starts at a much lower monthly price. A virtual office costs more because you are buying a commercial address in a staffed building, plus meeting rooms and the option of a receptionist.

The choice comes down to what the address has to do. If you only need mail scanned and forwarded while you travel, a mailbox service is enough, and I compare those in my guide to the best virtual mailbox services for digital nomads. If the address has to sit on an LLC filing, a bank application and supplier dealer applications, and you may need a room to meet someone, the virtual office is the safer buy. My guide to business address options that actually work walks through the legal side.

Is It Worth It for a High-Ticket Store?

Yes, with conditions.

Buy it if you are forming a company and do not want your home address on public filings, you are applying to suppliers who check the details, or you work from abroad and need a US business address that reads as real.

Skip it if you already have a commercial address, you are not ready to commit for 6 months, or the only thing you need is mail scanning, which a mailbox service does for less.

Pick the cheapest suitable building, not the fanciest. Listed starting prices ran from $45 a month in Las Vegas to $125 in parts of New York, so the building you choose is the single biggest lever on this bill.

Once the address is set up, my Alliance Virtual Offices setup guide covers the order to do things in.

Where This Fits in Your Business Setup

The address is one piece of the paperwork suppliers look at. They also want a registered company and an EIN, which my business formation guide covers. The other thing they check is a business phone number that does not ring to a personal voicemail, which I explain in how to get a business phone number suppliers will accept.

Once that is in place, the work is supplier outreach, and my step-by-step supplier guide covers the whole process. If you have not chosen what to sell yet, start with the high-ticket niches list instead of paying for an address you do not need yet.

Keep Your Home Address Off Your Filings

Is there a setup fee?
No. Alliance shows a $200 setup fee struck through and charges $0, and its location pages say “No setup fee ever.”

Platinum Plus includes monthly meeting room time. Both plans let you book meeting rooms and day offices on demand. If you never meet clients in person, Platinum is the one to buy.

The plans I checked were 6-month terms. Treat the first 6 months as committed when you budget.

What does mail forwarding cost?
$10 a month for monthly forwarding, $20 for bi-weekly and $30 for weekly at most locations, on top of your plan.

How much is a live receptionist?
$125 a month for 50 answered minutes, $175 for 100 and $260 for 200, with overage at $1.75 a minute. Receptionists answer Monday to Friday 8am to 9pm Eastern and Saturday 9am to 7pm Eastern.

Can I use the address to register my LLC?
Alliance markets its addresses for entity formation, registration and business bank accounts, and they are real commercial street addresses rather than PO Boxes. State rules differ, so check what your state requires for its registered office and registered agent before you file.
