Cowork is great because with the Chrome extension it can look at your browser and see your live website directly, so it can build against what is really there. For the heavier landing pages, I pair that with GemPages, which lets you build rich, high-converting home and product pages visually. The core of this build is that every page carries a high-ticket quote request funnel: product pages, collection pages, blog posts, the homepage, and even the cart page. Whatever page a visitor lands on, they always see a quick form they can fill out to get a custom project spec’d or a quote on what they need. The form captures their email and phone number and sends it to your inbox through Shopify’s native form, so there is nothing else to install.

This works incredibly well for B2B outreach too. When you reach out to a business and send them a link to a product or page on your site, that funnel is right there waiting for them. People genuinely like filling these out because they get a custom quote instead of guessing. It gives you every filter you would want from a dedicated CRM, running on tools you already have. Pair that with a spreadsheet to track quotes and orders and the whole lead system stays simple and cheap.

Where this gets powerful is follow-up. Suppliers are often buried in orders and buyers get distracted, so consistent follow-up is what closes deals. I use a Gmail extension called GMass to send automatic follow-ups every time I email a supplier or a customer. If they miss it or ignore it, they get another nudge, and after two or three follow-ups almost everyone responds. That single habit is one of the biggest life hacks for running these businesses. For example, ClearSale has that kind of limit, so for any order past roughly $15,000 I usually require a wire transfer instead and provide the bank details.

Businesses buying for their operations usually have the cash on hand and are fine wiring funds. Government agencies are different: they often require net 30 or net 60 terms, which means you cover the product cost up front and get paid later. That takes some cash reserves or a line of credit to pull off, so build up to those deals. Upsells and After-Sale Systems

Once the order is placed, there is more margin to capture and more value to deliver. You can purchase delivery insurance so that if a product arrives damaged, the return shipping and replacement are covered, and your supplier will usually help coordinate that. You can also upsell extended warranties and white glove delivery, and help arrange a contractor for assembly or installation when the customer needs it. These add-ons improve the customer experience and your bottom line at the same time.
