Best Seobility Alternatives in 2026: What to Use Now the Free Plan Has Shrunk

Affiliate disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. If you buy through them, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Full disclosure

Most people chose Seobility for one reason: a free plan that crawled 1,000 pages and told you what was broken. On 18 September 2026 that dropped to 100 pages with a limited audit, and the paid entry tier rose 40 percent.

So the question is not really “what else is out there”. It is narrower and more useful than that. If the free audit was your reason, what does that job now, and what does it cost?

The short answer surprised me. Screaming Frog’s free version crawls 500 URLs, which is five times what Seobility’s free plan now manages. And Sitebulb’s cheapest paid tier crawls 10,000 URLs for $18 a month, which is a hundred times the new free ceiling for a quarter of Seobility’s new price.

I run Ecommerce Paradise and a high-ticket store of my own. I re-checked Seobility’s figures on its own pricing page on 22 September 2026, and every other vendor’s figures came off its own pricing page on 16 September 2026.

A Free Crawler That Does 5 Times More

Seobility’s free plan now crawls 100 pages. Screaming Frog’s free version does 500, and has for years.

What You Are Actually Replacing

Seobility bundles three jobs that most competitors sell separately. Work out which one you use before comparing anything.

The job What Seobility gives you Who else does it
Crawl the site, list what is broken The main event Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, SE Ranking, Moz
Track keyword positions On paid plans, daily for the first 2 Google pages on desktop, deeper positions every 2 weeks unless you buy a daily add-on SE Ranking, Moz, Ubersuggest
On-page and TF*IDF content guidance Genuinely good, and unusual Few of them, honestly

If you only ever used the crawler, you have cheaper and better options. If you used all three, the picture is closer than the price rise makes it feel.

1. Screaming Frog, If the Free Crawl Was the Point

Screaming Frog’s SEO Spider is free up to 500 URLs per crawl, and a licence is $279 per user per year, falling to $235 at volume. It runs on your own computer rather than in a browser.

  Free version Licensed
Price $0 $279 a year
URLs per crawl 500 Unlimited, memory permitting
Scheduling No Yes
JavaScript rendering No Yes
Structured data validation No Yes
Rank tracking None None

The free version finds broken links, redirects, page titles and meta data, duplicate pages, hreflang problems, and generates XML sitemaps. For a store owner who just wants to know what is wrong, that is most of the value, at 500 URLs rather than 100.

Take it if the free audit was your reason for using Seobility and you can live without rank tracking. At $279 a year the licence works out to $23.25 a month, which is a third of Seobility Premium’s new price.

The honest caveat. It does not track rankings at all, it does not run in the cloud, and it has no scheduling on the free version, so you crawl manually. It is a tool rather than a monitoring service. Also worth knowing: Screaming Frog publishes no refund terms at all, and licences are annual with no monthly option.

2. Sitebulb, If You Want the Audit to Be Better

Sitebulb is the one I would look at hardest, because its entry tier is cheaper than Seobility’s and crawls a hundred times more than Seobility’s new free plan.

Plan Monthly Yearly URLs per audit Scheduling
Lite $18 $180 10,000 No
Pro $42 $425 500,000 Yes
Cloud From $125 From $1,500 No project limits Recurring crawls

Set that against Seobility’s current pricing. Premium is $69.90 a month or $671.04 a year. Sitebulb Pro is $42 a month or $425 a year, which is $246.04 less annually for a deeper crawler.

The trial is unusually generous and worth naming: 14 days of full Pro functionality, and in Sitebulb’s words it is “completely free – no credit card and no up-front commitment.”

Take it if technical auditing is the job and you want it done properly. Sitebulb is built for exactly this and nothing else.

The honest caveat. No rank tracking, same as Screaming Frog. Lite is feature-gated as well as URL-gated, so scheduling, structured data, accessibility and the spell checker are all Pro-only. And no refund terms are published, only “cancel anytime”.

Building the Store, Not Just Auditing It?

SEO tooling is one line item. Suppliers, entity, store and launch are the rest. We build all of it with you.

3. SE Ranking, the Closest Like-for-Like

SE Ranking does everything Seobility does in one cloud platform: site audit, rank tracking, keyword research and backlinks.

It is also considerably more expensive than most write-ups suggest, including some of mine, which I have now corrected. Core is $129 a month month-to-month, or $103.20 a month on annual billing, and annual is billed upfront.

Plan Monthly Annual per month Projects Keywords daily Audit pages a month
Core $129 $103.20 10 2,000 250,000
Growth $279 $223.20 30 5,000 2,000,000

That is roughly twice Seobility Premium’s new price, and the limits are roughly ten times larger. Whether that is good value depends entirely on whether you would use them.

Take it if you manage several sites or you want every tracked position updated daily, rather than only the first 2 Google pages on desktop without paying for an add-on. For an agency or someone running a portfolio, Core’s 10 projects is the number that justifies it.

The honest caveat. There is no free tier and the refund policy is firm: “Payments are non-refundable, except in cases where the service wasn’t delivered as promised.” The 14-day trial requires no card, so use it properly. For a single store, you are buying a lot of headroom you will not touch.

4. Moz Pro, If Authority Metrics Matter to You

Moz Pro starts at $99 a month, or $79 on yearly billing, with a single-site Starter plan at $49 that is mentioned but not given a panel of its own.

Plan Monthly Yearly per month Sites Keywords Pages crawled a week
Standard $99 $79 3 300 100,000
Medium $179 $143 10 1,500 500,000
Large $299 $239 25 3,000 1,250,000

Two things to read carefully before buying. The yearly prices are described as “billed for your first year”, and the second-year price is not published anywhere. And extra user seats are $49 a month each on every plan, which is a real cost if more than one person needs access.

Take it if Domain Authority is part of how you or your clients talk about SEO. Nothing else gives you that specific metric.

The honest caveat. No refund terms are published, only a cancellation policy. The trial length and whether it needs a card are not published on the pricing page either, which for a product at this price is a strange thing to omit.

5. Ubersuggest, the Budget Option With a Catch

Ubersuggest publishes a price range of $29 to $99 a month across its Individual, Business and Enterprise tiers, with monthly, yearly and lifetime billing.

I am not going to give you exact per-plan figures, because the prices on its pricing page are loaded by its payment provider rather than published in the page itself, and I could not read them from source. The range above is the vendor’s own published figure. The limits, however, are published in full.

Tier Projects Site audit pages per report Crawl frequency Keywords per project
Individual 1 1,000 Weekly 125
Business 7 5,000 Weekly 150
Enterprise 15 10,000 Weekly 300

Note the entry tier audits 1,000 pages, which is ten times what Seobility’s free plan now covers. If that number is enough for your store, it is available here, just not for free.

Take it if budget is the binding constraint and you want audit plus keywords plus rank tracking in one place.

The honest caveat, and it is a sharp one. The trial is 7 days and places a refundable $1 authorisation on your card. More importantly, Ubersuggest’s lifetime plans are, in its own words, “final and non-refundable”. Lifetime deals are heavily promoted with countdown timers. Do not buy one on a 7-day acquaintance with the product.

What About Mangools

It comes up in every list like this one, and it does not belong in this one.

Mangools is a genuinely good keyword research suite at $61 a month or $452.40 a year, with a free tier that needs no card and a 48-hour money-back guarantee. But it has no site crawler and no technical audit. Its site analysis is a domain metrics overview, not a crawl.

Since crawling a catalogue and surfacing broken links, duplicate titles and redirect chains is the thing Seobility is for, Mangools cannot replace it. If keyword research is what you actually wanted, it is a fine tool. As a Seobility alternative it is a category error.

The One Thing None of Them Replace

Worth being fair about, because it is the strongest argument for staying.

Seobility’s TF*IDF tool compares your page against the pages already ranking for a term and tells you which concepts yours is missing. It is not keyword density and it is not an AI writing assistant. It is a content gap analysis, and among the tools here almost nobody bundles an equivalent at any price.

Screaming Frog and Sitebulb do not attempt it, because they are crawlers. SE Ranking and Moz have content tools but they sit at a different price point. The dedicated content optimisation tools that do this properly are their own category and their own subscription.

So if you write product descriptions and category copy and you use TF*IDF to shape them, the honest calculation is not Seobility against Sitebulb. It is Seobility against Sitebulb plus a content tool, and that comparison looks very different.

If you have never opened the TF*IDF tool, this paragraph does not apply to you and the crawler-only options above are straightforwardly better value.

The Comparison That Matters

Here is the whole field on the one axis a store owner should care about first.

Tool Cheapest way to crawl 1,000 pages Rank tracking included
Screaming Frog $279 a year No
Sitebulb Lite $18 a month No
Ubersuggest Individual From $29 a month Yes
Seobility Premium $69.90 a month Yes, daily for the first 2 Google pages on desktop
Moz Pro Standard $79 a month yearly Yes
SE Ranking Core $103.20 a month yearly Yes, daily

Read that and the shape of the decision becomes obvious. If you need rank tracking bundled, Seobility is still competitive and Ubersuggest is cheaper. If you do not, Sitebulb Lite does the crawling job for a quarter of the price and Screaming Frog does a smaller version of it for nothing.

What I Would Actually Do

If the free plan was your whole relationship with Seobility: move to Screaming Frog’s free version. It crawls 500 URLs against the new 100, it has done so for years, and there is no clock on it.

If you were about to pay for Seobility for the crawler: try Sitebulb Lite at $18 a month first. Ten thousand URLs covers any store I have worked on, and the 14-day Pro trial needs no card, so the evaluation costs nothing.

If you use the rank tracking and the TF*IDF tools too: stay, at least for now. Seobility at $69.90 still bundles three jobs that cost more separately, and the TF*IDF content guidance genuinely has few equivalents.

If you run several sites: price SE Ranking Core against Seobility Agency properly. At 10 projects and daily rank tracking it is a different class of product, and Seobility Agency at $239.90 is no longer an obvious budget pick.

If you were only ever going to use it occasionally: Screaming Frog free, and put the money somewhere it compounds.

A Note on Switching Costs, Because They Are Low

Worth saying, because software decisions get made as though they are permanent and this one is not.

Your data here is a crawl of a site you own. There is no history to migrate, no customer records, no content locked in a proprietary format. If you leave Seobility, you lose some historical rank data and a set of saved settings, and you point a different crawler at the same domain.

That makes this an unusually cheap decision to get wrong, and it means a 40 percent price rise is worth a weekend of evaluation rather than a shrug. Three of the tools above have free tiers or no-card trials, so you can test properly before committing to anything.

Where SEO Tooling Sits in the Build Order

Worth saying, because buying an SEO tool feels productive and often is not.

A crawler tells you what is broken on a site that already exists, selling products you already source. It does not create demand. Pre-launch, this is not the line item to optimise, and if you are here because a subscription went up, the honest answer may be that you did not need the subscription.

What matters at that stage is what you sell, which the high-ticket niches list covers at no cost.

Supplier approval is the genuine bottleneck in this business and no audit tool moves it. The whole process is in the supplier sourcing guide.

Distributors want a registered entity before discussing terms, which the business formation guide walks through. If the model itself is still open, read what high-ticket dropshipping actually is before subscribing to anything monthly.

Common Questions

What is the best Seobility alternative in 2026?
Sitebulb Lite at $18 a month if you want the crawling done better and cheaper, or Screaming Frog’s free version if the free plan was your reason for using Seobility at all. SE Ranking is the closest like-for-like but costs roughly twice as much.

What replaces Seobility’s free plan?
Screaming Frog’s free version, which crawls 500 URLs against Seobility’s new 100. It covers broken links, redirects, titles and meta data, duplicate pages and hreflang, and generates XML sitemaps.

Is anything cheaper than Seobility that still crawls a full store?
Yes. Sitebulb Lite is $18 a month for 10,000 URLs per audit, against Seobility Premium at $69.90 a month. The trade is that Sitebulb does not track keyword rankings.

How much does SE Ranking actually cost?
Core is $129 a month month-to-month or $103.20 on annual billing, billed upfront. Growth is $279 or $223.20. There is no free tier and no plan anywhere near the $55 or $65 figures that circulate.

Should I switch just because of the price rise?
Only if you were not using what you were paying for. Switching costs are low here because your data is a crawl of your own site, but a tool that does three jobs for $69.90 is not automatically worse value than one that does one job for $18.

Which alternatives let me test without a card?
Screaming Frog’s free version, Sitebulb’s 14-day full Pro trial, SE Ranking’s 14-day trial, and Mangools’ free plan. Ubersuggest places a refundable $1 authorisation on your card.

Is Mangools a Seobility alternative?
No. It has no site crawler and no technical audit. It is a keyword research suite, and a good one, but it cannot do the job Seobility is bought for.
