TikTok Shop’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaign runs Nov. 11 to Nov. 30, and Best Buy, Sephora and Ulta Beauty are on the platform for their first holiday season.
If you run a store on Ecommerce Paradise principles, meaning a niche site with high-ticket products and a phone number on the page, this changes who is competing for the same shopper’s attention in the last six weeks of the year. Best Buy sells electronics, appliances and gaming gear, the same categories many high-ticket stores work in, and it now has a TikTok storefront with TikTok’s own promotion behind it.
Below: what TikTok announced, what the numbers really say (most come from TikTok itself), what the new UPS returns integration does and does not do for a high-ticket seller, and five moves to make before Nov. 11. I covered the broader high-ticket Black Friday stress test earlier this week, so this post stays on the TikTok angle.

Nov. 11 to 30 TikTok Shop Campaign Adds Best Buy and Sephora
TikTok Shop announced the campaign in a press release dated Oct. 19, 2026, distributed through GlobeNewswire. It names Sephora, Michael Kors, Best Buy, Ulta Beauty and Victoria’s Secret as brands joining this year. According to Modern Retail, the window starts one day earlier than last year’s.
The baseline TikTok gives is last year’s four-day Black Friday weekend, when TikTok Shop said its sales surpassed $500 million. It also said sellers who hosted livestreams saw 84% year-over-year sales growth, across more than 760,000 sessions and 1.6 billion views. TikTok says its product selection has grown more than 1,200% across categories since 2024.
Several of the category figures matter if you sell anything expensive. Per the release, the highest-priced U.S. item sold on the platform this year was a pre-owned luxury bag at $25,580. U.S. users are 2.5 times more likely to buy a luxury item as a gift, according to TikTok. Lab-grown diamond sales more than quadrupled from May to September, “gold jewelry” searches rose 1,134%, and collectibles sales grew 230% year over year in October. Eligible jewelry ships with one year of third-party insurance, which is a trust signal borrowed straight from the high-ticket playbook.
Live shopping is the lever TikTok keeps pulling. The company says U.S. LIVE Shopping sales more than doubled year over year in the first half of 2026. It cites an eMarketer forecast that spend per livestream buyer will rise 23.2% to $339.27 in 2026. Rihanna’s 12-hour Fenty Beauty stream drew more than one million viewers, per the release.
On delivery, eligible products may carry a 3-Day Delivery badge. TikTok Shop president of strategic initiatives Patrick Nommensen said, per Modern Retail, that the platform is “no longer experimental.” Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy together sold more than 550,000 units in their first year on the platform, per the same piece.
Two things are missing from every source I read. The release gives no seller requirements or deadlines, and neither it nor Modern Retail discloses seller fees or commission rates. Modern Retail also notes that most of its metrics come from TikTok’s own press materials and were not independently verified.
UPS Happy Returns Now Covers TikTok Shop at 10,000 Locations
The returns piece arrived a week ahead of the campaign announcement. Supply Chain Dive reported on Oct. 14 that UPS’s Happy Returns is integrated into TikTok Shop. A shopper starts the return in TikTok Shop, picks Happy Returns, and drops the item at a Return Bar without a box or label. UPS consolidates returns and ships them back to the seller.
About 10,000 Return Bars exist nationwide, with The UPS Store, Ulta Beauty and Staples named as hosts. Everlane, Windsor and Pacsun are among the early users. This is the first time Happy Returns has been built directly into a platform rather than into individual retailer sites, according to the article, and Tubefilter adds that UPS bought Happy Returns in 2023.
Sellers can use it whether they ship orders themselves or use Fulfilled by TikTok. For Fulfilled by TikTok orders, the article says no setup is needed, and existing Happy Returns users can switch it on in the TikTok seller center. Seller-fulfilled merchants get guided setup.
Now the counterpoint. Birdie Smith, Happy Returns’ head of sales, said the service is a best fit for merchants doing around 10,000 or more returns a year, mainly in apparel, footwear and accessories. The article does not say who pays for the service or for each return. It also notes FedEx launched a competing box-free service, Easy Returns, last year.
Tubefilter’s read is that easier returns could ease buyer’s remorse on larger purchases, and that TikTok Shop is moving into higher-priced goods. It also floats that TikTok Shop could pass $100 billion in annual gross merchandise value in 2026 if the holiday season goes well. That is Tubefilter’s framing of a conditional, not a TikTok forecast.
Why Best Buy on TikTok Shop Raises the Bar for High-Ticket Sellers
My read is that this is less about TikTok and more about where a $1,500 purchase gets decided. Until now a high-ticket niche store competed with big-box sites on Google Shopping and a few marketplaces. When a retailer like Best Buy lists on a platform where shoppers already scroll, it competes for the impulse and the gift list too, and it brings a brand name shoppers already trust.
That does not mean you should rush onto the platform. The data TikTok offers skews toward cheap, visual, giftable goods: beauty, accessories, collectibles, gaming consoles. The $25,580 bag is a pre-owned luxury outlier, and TikTok did not publish how many items sold above, say, $1,000, or what share of sales they were. One headline number is not a category.
Here is hypothetical math, not reported figures. Say your store sells $1,200 average orders and books 300 orders in November, or $360,000. Every percentage point of platform fee is $3,600 on that revenue. TikTok has not published its fees in these sources, so you cannot compare TikTok against your current cost of acquisition until you pull the rate card from the seller center. Run that comparison before you spend on a single stream.
Returns need the same treatment. Happy Returns is aimed at merchants with roughly 10,000 or more returns a year, and a high-ticket furniture or equipment store will usually see far fewer. For heavy goods, a drop-off bar is the wrong tool anyway, because the item will not fit in a shopper’s trunk. I’d treat it as a signal for what shoppers expect, not a service you will use.
The threat to a niche store is expectation, not the platform itself. Shoppers who return an item at a UPS Store without a label will ask why your return policy needs a phone call. Amazon is already tightening this by making its Jan. 31 holiday return window permanent. Sellers there also face a seven-day clock, which I covered in the prepaid return label deadline post.
On the other side, the case for TikTok Shop is real. Livestream sellers saw 84% growth last year per TikTok, and a high-ticket seller with a knowledgeable owner has an edge on camera: you can answer the questions a $3,000 buyer actually has. If you already do phone sales, a live Q&A is the same skill. A phone system like Dialpad can keep those calls in one place. My guide to high-ticket sales follow-up covers the process.
The bigger risk is channel dependence. Consumers who buy through TikTok are TikTok’s customers first, so you want their email address as fast as legal rules allow. That is where Klaviyo earns its fee, because the post-purchase flow is yours. I wrote about a related lock-in problem in saved card data and processor lock-in, and the logic is the same.
Also watch margin, not revenue. Peak-season carrier costs are climbing, with UPS and FedEx holiday surcharges starting Oct. 25. Freight is no better, since LTL rates topped 80% above 2018 for the first time, per AFS. A new channel that drives volume but adds a returns program, a platform fee and a surcharge can lose money on every order.
Tracking profit per channel needs clean books. Finaloop, which is built for ecommerce, can split it for you. QuickBooks works if your accountant already lives there.
Timing matters too. Deloitte’s finding that holiday shopping is moving into October and TikTok’s earlier start both say the same thing: the window to test is now, not the week of Black Friday.
Here are three scenarios with thresholds. If the seller center shows fees at or below your Google Shopping cost per sale and your category already has listings above $500, run a small test with a hard spend cap. If fees are unpublished or your category shows almost nothing above $200, skip the channel this year and put the budget into your own store and email. If you already sell lower-priced accessories, such as parts or add-ons, test with those first, since they match what the platform’s shoppers are buying.
If this sounds like a lot to stand up while you also run Q4, it is. It is the reason many owners hand the build and daily operation to my turnkey done-for-you team rather than add channels themselves. Competition is also moving on loyalty, as in Walmart’s new Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus bundle.

Five Moves to Make Before TikTok Shop’s Nov. 11 Start
Here are five things to do this week, in order of how much money they protect.
- Pull the fee schedule first. Log in to the TikTok Shop seller center, find the commission and payment terms for your category, and put them next to your Google Shopping cost per sale. If the numbers are not published to you yet, assume the channel is unproven for your category.
- Search your own niche on TikTok Shop. Look for Best Buy, Sephora, Ulta Beauty or any brand you resell, and sort by price, high to low. Count how many listings sit above $500. If a handful of items exist, the buyer is not there yet.
- Audit your return policy against box-free returns. Write down your restocking fee, label policy and shipping responsibility, then compare them with what Amazon offers. For freight items, offer a prepaid pickup option rather than a drop-off. Your chargeback prevention setup should match.
- Set up email capture and a post-purchase flow. Build a welcome and a post-purchase sequence in Klaviyo or Omnisend on your Shopify store so any shopper who finds you on a new channel gets a follow-up. Then build a simple holiday gift guide for the flow in Canva.
- Decide your budget cap in writing. Pick a number you are willing to lose on a test, for example 5% of November ad spend, and set a stop date of Nov. 30. If you want a second pair of eyes, book a free call at my discovery page.
Frequently Asked Questions
When does TikTok Shop’s Black Friday campaign start and end?
Per TikTok’s Oct. 19 release, it runs Nov. 11 through Nov. 30, 2026. Modern Retail says that is one day earlier than last year.
Which big retailers are new to TikTok Shop this holiday season?
The release names Sephora, Michael Kors, Best Buy, Ulta Beauty and Victoria’s Secret. Modern Retail says Best Buy, Ulta Beauty and Sephora make this the first holiday season for those three.
What are TikTok Shop’s seller fees?
None of the sources I read, including the release and the Modern Retail piece, gives commission or fee figures. Check the seller center for your category before you commit budget.
Is Happy Returns worth using on a high-ticket store?
Probably not. Happy Returns’ own sales head says it fits merchants with around 10,000 or more returns a year, mainly in apparel, footwear and accessories. Large or heavy items need a different return method.
Is the $500 million figure a TikTok Shop forecast?
No. It is TikTok’s reported figure for the four-day 2025 Black Friday weekend, and it comes from TikTok itself. The 2026 total has not been reported.
Do I need to sell on TikTok Shop to win Q4?
No. Your own store, Google Shopping and email still carry most high-ticket sales. Start with my guide to what high-ticket dropshipping is if you are still choosing a category. The free niches list at ecommerceparadise.com/niches helps too.
