I get asked about cold email pricing more than almost anything else in the outbound space, because most tools bury their real cost behind “contact sales” or a pricing page that changes every six months. Woodpecker.co is a good example: they switched from an old per-mailbox-seat model to a usage-based model priced on “Contacted Prospects” per month, and a lot of the comparison articles still floating around the internet are quoting the outdated numbers.
I pulled every current tier directly from Woodpecker’s live pricing page on September 29, 2026, so this is not a rehash of a two-year-old blog post. If you have not read my full Woodpecker.co review yet, that covers the features and the honest read on real user complaints. This article is just the money: every plan tier, every add-on, and what a solo operator versus an agency actually pays per month.
If you are still working out your broader business model before you worry about a cold email budget, my high-ticket dropshipping guide is a good place to start. It is the same framework I teach over on Ecommerce Paradise.

How Woodpecker.co Pricing Actually Works
Every plan is priced around one number: Contacted Prospects per month. A “prospect” is one unique person you reach in a campaign in a given month, not one email sent. Since a Woodpecker campaign can have up to 16 steps in a sequence, your actual email send cap works out to roughly 16 times your prospect number (so the 500-prospect plan supports up to 8,000 emails sent per month).
That single number determines your price, but every tier, from the cheapest to the most expensive, includes the same core toolkit: unlimited team members, unlimited connected email accounts, unlimited email verification with catch-all detection, free automated warm-up, and free Lead Finder credits that scale with your tier. You also get a 14-day free trial or 100 free cold emails sent, whichever comes first, with no credit card required to start.
Every Woodpecker.co Plan Tier, in Full
Here is the complete tier list as it stood on Woodpecker’s live pricing page in late September 2026. Monthly price first, then the annual total (billed yearly, which works out to roughly 33 percent cheaper per month).
500 prospects: $35/mo or $280/yr. 2,000 prospects: $67/mo or $536/yr. 4,000 prospects: $99/mo or $792/yr. 8,000 prospects: $159/mo or $1,272/yr. 10,000 prospects: $188/mo or $1,504/yr. 15,000 prospects: $262/mo or $2,096/yr. 20,000 prospects: $329/mo or $2,632/yr. 25,000 prospects: $395/mo or $3,160/yr. 30,000 prospects: $459/mo or $3,672/yr. 40,000 prospects: $587/mo or $4,696/yr. 60,000 prospects: $876/mo or $7,008/yr. 80,000 prospects: $1,144/mo or $9,152/yr. 100,000 prospects: $1,354/mo or $10,832/yr. 250,000 prospects: $2,932/mo or $23,456/yr. 1,000,000 prospects: $10,312/mo or $82,496/yr. And at the very top, an “Unlimited” tier at $9,999/mo or $79,992/yr.
If you are comparing this to something you read a year or two ago, note that Woodpecker used to charge per connected mailbox seat. That model is gone. Do not trust a competitor comparison chart that still quotes it, and if you want to double-check the current numbers yourself, Woodpecker’s own live pricing page is the source of truth rather than any third-party blog, including this one six months from now.
Add-On Costs That Are Easy to Miss
The base plan price is not always the full story. Here are the add-ons that can change your real monthly bill.
LinkedIn outreach costs $29/mo per connected LinkedIn account. This is the one that surprises people most, since warm-up and verification are free but LinkedIn automation is not. An extra warm-up slot beyond what your tier includes runs $5/mo per mailbox. A mailbox purchased directly through Woodpecker costs $4/mo for a basic third-party mailbox or $6/mo for a premium Google or Microsoft mailbox.
Dedicated sending infrastructure through their Infraforge partnership is $59/mo per server, aimed at teams that want full control over their sending IPs. The API and integrations bundle is $20/mo. Extra Lead Finder credits start at $10/mo for 500 additional credits if your tier’s free allotment runs out. A new domain purchased through Woodpecker runs roughly $1/mo when billed annually. Agencies running sub-clients pay $27/mo per client for management, plus $5/mo per client if you want white-label branding.

How to Pick the Right Tier for Your Send Volume
The mistake I see most often is picking a tier based on how many emails you want to send instead of how many unique people you are actually reaching. Remember that a campaign can run up to 16 steps, so your prospect count and your email count are not the same number. If your sequence is 5 emails per prospect and you want to contact 1,000 new people a month, you need a tier that covers 1,000 prospects, not 5,000.
A good rule of thumb: start one tier lower than you think you need. Every tier includes the same free warm-up and verification, so there is no feature penalty for starting small, and you can upgrade mid-cycle the moment you are consistently hitting your prospect cap. I have seen people overpay for months on a tier sized for hypothetical future volume instead of their actual current list size.
Monthly vs Annual Billing: Which Makes Sense
The annual discount is real and consistent across every tier, roughly 33 percent off the monthly rate. On the 500-prospect plan that is the difference between $420 a year (12 times the monthly rate) and $280 a year, a savings of $140. On the 25,000-prospect plan it is the difference between $4,740 a year and $3,160 a year, a savings of $1,580.
I would only recommend annual billing once you have run at least one full monthly cycle and confirmed the tier fits your actual usage. Given the Trustpilot complaints I cover in my full review about billing and cancellation friction, locking into an annual plan before you have tested the product for a month adds unnecessary risk if it turns out not to be the right fit.
Hidden Costs Checklist Before You Sign Up
Before you commit to a tier, run through this list so nothing surprises you on your first invoice. Do you need LinkedIn outreach? Budget $29/mo per account. Are you buying mailboxes through Woodpecker instead of setting them up yourself? Budget $4 to $6/mo per mailbox. Do you want dedicated sending infrastructure for better deliverability at scale? Budget $59/mo per server. Are you an agency with sub-clients? Budget $27/mo per client, plus $5/mo per client for white-label branding if you want your own name on the platform instead of Woodpecker’s.
None of these are hidden in the sense of being deceptive. Woodpecker lists them clearly on their pricing page. But they are easy to forget when you are only looking at the headline plan price, and they can turn a $67/mo plan into a $150-plus/mo real cost once LinkedIn and a couple of add-ons are in the mix.
Real-World Cost Scenario: Solo Operator
Say you are a solo consultant or a one-person agency running outbound for your own pipeline. You are sending to roughly 500 prospects a month across a 4 to 6 step sequence, using one or two mailboxes, with no LinkedIn add-on and no extra infrastructure. Your bill is the base 500-prospect plan: $35/mo, or $280 billed annually (about $23.33/mo). That is genuinely competitive once you remember that verification and warm-up, which would cost $30 to $50/mo bundled separately on some other platforms, are already included.
If you want to add LinkedIn outreach for one account, add $29/mo, bringing your realistic solo-operator total to around $64/mo on the monthly plan or roughly $52/mo averaged on annual billing.
Real-World Cost Scenario: Growing Agency
Now say you are running outbound for multiple clients, contacting around 10,000 prospects a month combined, and you want two connected LinkedIn accounts plus a dedicated sending server for better inbox placement. The base plan is $188/mo (or $1,504/yr, about $125/mo). Add two LinkedIn accounts at $29/mo each ($58/mo), one Infraforge server at $59/mo, and the agency sub-client management fee at $27/mo per client for, say, 3 clients ($81/mo). That puts your realistic total around $386/mo on the monthly plan, or roughly $323/mo averaged on annual billing, before any white-label add-on.
That is a meaningful number, and it is worth running against what you are actually charging clients before you commit to a tier. If the math does not work at that scale, it is worth reading my Woodpecker.co alternatives guide, since a couple of competitors specifically undercut Woodpecker’s unit economics once you are running high volume across multiple domains.
How Woodpecker.co Pricing Compares to Competitors
At the entry level, Woodpecker’s $35/mo for 500 prospects lands close to Instantly‘s roughly $37/mo starting tier, though Instantly structures its limits differently and leans harder into aggressive, high-volume sending rather than Woodpecker’s more controlled approach. At the 2,000-prospect tier, Woodpecker runs $67/mo, while Smartlead undercuts that at $39/mo for a comparable 2,000 leads with unlimited mailboxes and warm-up bundled in, which is one of the bigger reasons agencies managing several client domains often end up comparing the two directly.
Where Woodpecker tends to win the pricing conversation is at the low end for solo operators who want verification and warm-up bundled for free without hunting down a separate subscription for each. Where it tends to lose the conversation is at higher volume, where Smartlead’s unit economics pull ahead. I go through the full field, including Lemlist, Reply.io, and Apollo.io pricing, in my Woodpecker.co alternatives comparison.
What Happens If You Go Over Your Prospect Limit
If you contact more unique prospects in a month than your tier allows, Woodpecker will prompt you to upgrade to the next tier rather than silently pausing your campaigns mid-send. That is worth knowing if you are running a launch or a seasonal push where your outbound volume spikes for a month or two. Plan for the upgrade in advance rather than finding out mid-campaign, since a paused sequence in the middle of a sales push is worse than paying for one month at a higher tier.
On the flip side, if your volume drops, you can downgrade at your next billing cycle. There is no penalty for moving between tiers as your list size changes, which is one of the genuine advantages of usage-based pricing over the old flat per-seat model: you are not locked into paying for capacity you are not using.
A Note on Billing and Cancellation, Given the Trustpilot Complaints
I would be doing you a disservice if I gave you a full pricing breakdown without repeating the billing pattern I flagged in my review. Trustpilot reviewers report a real, recurring problem with unexpected charges after cancellation and difficulty getting a clean refund. G2 and Capterra reviewers, by contrast, rate the product and support experience much higher overall.
My practical advice: read Woodpecker’s cancellation policy in full before you subscribe, screenshot your plan and billing terms on day one, and set a calendar reminder a few days before any renewal date if you are not planning to continue. That small bit of friction upfront is cheap insurance against the exact pattern of complaints showing up on Trustpilot.
Is Woodpecker.co Worth the Price?
For a solo operator or a lean team sending a controlled volume of quality outbound, yes. The bundled warm-up and verification alone offset $30 to $50/mo you would otherwise spend on separate tools, which makes the entry tiers genuinely good value. For an agency running high volume across many client domains, the math gets tighter fast once you add LinkedIn accounts, dedicated infrastructure, and sub-client fees, and it is worth comparing directly against Smartlead’s bundled pricing before signing an annual contract.
One more honest note before you commit: my full Woodpecker.co review covers a real pattern of billing and cancellation complaints on Trustpilot that is worth reading before you hand over a card, regardless of which tier you are considering.
Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a “Contacted Prospect” on Woodpecker.co?
It is one unique person reached in a campaign per month, not one email sent. A single prospect can receive multiple follow-up emails within a sequence (up to 16 steps) without counting against your prospect limit more than once.
Does Woodpecker.co charge per mailbox or per seat?
No, not anymore. The old per-mailbox-seat pricing model is discontinued. Every current tier includes unlimited connected mailboxes and unlimited team members, and price scales purely with your Contacted Prospects volume.
Is there a free plan?
There is no permanently free plan, but every tier comes with a 14-day free trial or 100 free cold emails sent (whichever happens first), and no credit card is required to start.
How much cheaper is annual billing?
Annual billing runs about 33 percent cheaper than paying monthly across every tier, so a $35/mo plan works out to $280/yr, roughly $23.33/mo averaged out.
Is LinkedIn outreach included in the base price?
No. LinkedIn automation is a $29/mo add-on per connected LinkedIn account, unlike warm-up and email verification, which are bundled free into every tier.
