High-Ticket Ecommerce Holiday Calendar 2027: Month-by-Month Marketing Guide

Affiliate disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. If you buy through them, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Full disclosure

If you are reading this in the last quarter of 2026, you are already late for the first quarter of 2027. That is not a scare line, it is just how high-ticket ecommerce works. A buyer spending $3,500 on a sauna, a mower, or a home gym takes 3 to 6 weeks to decide. Which means the campaign that converts on Presidents’ Day weekend in February 2027 needs content ranking, ads warmed up, and inventory confirmed well before the calendar page turns.

Most retail holiday calendars you will find are written for stores selling $30 apparel. Pick a date, cut 40 percent, blast the list. That playbook does not survive contact with a $2,500 average order value, where the buyer is comparison shopping across 4 tabs and the deciding factor is usually financing terms and delivery confidence rather than a discount percentage.

I have been building and scaling high-ticket stores since 2011 through Ecommerce Paradise, and this is the complete month-by-month 2027 calendar filtered for how high-ticket buyers actually behave. Every entry gives the date, who it is relevant for, and the tactic that works when your AOV starts at $1,000. If the model itself is new to you, start with my complete guide to high-ticket dropshipping.

US-focused with international notes at the end. Still executing this year? The 2026 high-ticket holiday calendar covers the current year date by date.

What Changes in 2027

Four scheduling shifts matter enough to plan around before you copy last year’s plan forward.

Thanksgiving lands November 25, which is the earliest slot in its range. That gives you 30 shopping days between Black Friday and Christmas instead of the compressed 26-day version, so the December window is unusually generous. Do not waste it by front-loading everything into the BFCM weekend.

July 4 falls on a Sunday, so the observed holiday is Monday July 5 and you get a natural 4-day retail weekend from Friday July 2. Memorial Day lands May 31, the latest possible date, which pushes the outdoor season start about a week later than usual and compresses the gap between spring kickoff and the first big summer weekend.

Easter is early, on March 28, which pulls spring entertaining demand forward into the same 2-week window as the spring equinox. For patio, grill, and outdoor dining categories, late March 2027 is denser than it was in 2026.

How to Use This Calendar

There are 60-plus dates below and you should run promotions on maybe 8 of them. Running something on every date trains your list to wait for the next sale, which is the single most expensive habit a high-ticket store can build. Margin does not come back once you teach buyers to hold out.

Read it once, mark what fits your catalog, then cut everything else out of your plan. A generator store and a home office furniture store share almost no dates in common, and both of them are working from this same list.

Three Rules That Govern Every Date Below

Research cycles are long. Your campaign starts 3 weeks before the sale, not the day of. The store that wins a weekend is the one that got onto the shortlist while everyone else was still designing their banner.

Financing outperforms discounting. A $200 cut on a $3,000 product is 6.7 percent and emotionally invisible. Twelve monthly payments changes the entire decision. In most high-ticket niches, payment options convert more buyers than the headline percentage does.

The holiday is the deadline, not the event. Conversion happens in the run-up. Build anticipation and trust for 2 weeks, then land a clean offer on the day.

January 2027

Low revenue, high leverage. What you build in January is what ranks and converts in Q4.

January 1: New Year’s Day

Relevant for: home gyms, saunas, cold plunges, red light therapy, ergonomic office furniture, hot tubs.

The resolution window is genuinely strong for wellness and self-improvement categories, and it runs about 2 weeks before attention collapses. Lead with financing, not discounts. The desire already exists on January 1. Your job is removing the payment objection while motivation is high.

January 18: Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Not a high-ticket retail holiday. Skip the promotion. If you run a real community giving program, highlight it. Otherwise stay quiet, which costs nothing.

January 26: Australia Day

Relevant for: stores shipping to Australia. Peak southern hemisphere summer and one of their strongest outdoor and entertaining weekends.

Throughout January: The Content and Conversion Sprint

The highest-value work of the month is not a promotion. Fix site speed, rewrite weak product pages, publish the buying guides that need 6 to 9 months to rank, and get your review collection system running. My monthly Shopify maintenance checklist sequences this properly.

February 2027

February 14: Super Bowl Sunday

Relevant for: home theater, projectors, premium seating, outdoor kitchens, bar and game rooms.

The Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day collide on the same Sunday in 2027, which is unusual and worth planning for. The 3 weeks before are the real buying window for big-screen and home theater upgrades, and the deciding factor is guaranteed delivery before game day. Your campaign should close February 10, not February 14.

February 14: Valentine’s Day

Relevant for: jewelry, premium watches, massage chairs, hot tubs, luxury home goods.

Weak for most high-ticket categories because gifts rarely happen at this price point. If you are not in one of those niches, skip it. With the Super Bowl on the same day, most household attention is going elsewhere anyway.

February 15: Presidents’ Day

Relevant for: furniture, mattresses, appliances, outdoor power equipment, garage storage.

A genuinely important date for high-ticket. Decades of mainstream retail conditioning mean consumers actively expect big-ticket deals on this three-day weekend, so you are capturing demand that already exists rather than manufacturing it.

Run 4 days, Friday February 12 through Monday February 15. Financing leads, a moderate discount tier supports it, and retargeting hits everyone who viewed a product page in the previous 30 days.

Mid-February: Tax Refund Season Opens

Relevant for: nearly every high-ticket niche.

More important than any single February holiday. Refunds start landing in mid-February and average around $3,000, which maps directly onto high-ticket AOV. This is a positioning campaign, not a discount campaign, and it runs from late February into mid-April.

Your real competitor is the vacation they are also considering. Frame the purchase as permanent: the garage they finally finish, the patio they actually use, the office that stops wrecking their back.

March 2027

Dense month in 2027 because early Easter and the spring equinox stack inside 2 weeks.

March 8: International Women’s Day

Content and community, not discounting. Only worth touching if you have a real story to tell.

March 17: St. Patrick’s Day

Skip it. No meaningful high-ticket application.

March 20: First Day of Spring

Relevant for: outdoor furniture, grills, smokers, pizza ovens, mowers, pool equipment, kayaks, e-bikes, fire pits, patio heaters.

The most important Q1 date for core high-ticket niches. Demand that has been building since February releases the week the weather breaks.

Launch March 15 and run through the first week of April. Feature the full outdoor catalog, lead with in-stock and delivery speed rather than price, and retarget February browsers hard. With Easter arriving March 28 this year, this campaign and your Easter entertaining push are effectively one continuous 3-week event.

March 26 to 28: Good Friday Through Easter

Relevant for: patio sets, grills, pizza ovens, outdoor dining, entertaining.

Early Easter in 2027 means family hosting happens right as spring demand peaks. A “host a better Easter” landing page featuring outdoor cooking and dining converts better than a sitewide discount, and it doubles as your spring kickoff creative.

Late March: Storm Season Begins

Relevant for: generators, standby power, sump pumps, water management.

Severe weather season opens across the South and Midwest. Build the campaigns now and leave them paused. Storm-driven demand has a 48-hour buying window, and the store that ranks and stocks before the forecast turns takes all of it.

April 2027

April 1: April Fools’ Day

Skip it. A brand prank is a terrible trade when your buyer is deciding whether to trust you with $3,000.

April 15: Tax Day

The close of refund season. Push your refund campaign hardest in the week before, then retire it. After Tax Day that money is either spent or committed elsewhere.

April 22: Earth Day

Relevant for: solar generators, electric mowers, e-bikes, electric scooters, composters, rainwater systems, efficient appliances.

Real for sustainability-adjacent catalogs, hollow for everyone else. Lead with the environmental story and pair it with an actual donation or partnership. If the fit is not obvious to a stranger, skip the date entirely.

Late April: Mother’s Day Build

Your gift guide page needs to be live by April 26. High-ticket gift buyers browse 2 weeks out and convert in the final 7 days, so the page has to exist before the traffic does.

May 2027

Memorial Day lands on May 31 this year, the latest it can fall, which gives you a longer runway and a tighter handoff into June.

May 5: Cinco de Mayo

Relevant for: outdoor kitchens, entertaining, bar setups. Marginal, but a usable content hook if that is your catalog.

May 9: Mother’s Day (US)

Relevant for: massage chairs, recliners, espresso machines, premium craft equipment, luxury home goods, spa and wellness.

Mid-tier for high-ticket. Curated gift guide rather than sitewide discount, live from late April, with email and SMS frequency ramping the week of. Nearly all conversion happens in the last 7 days.

May 31: Memorial Day

Relevant for: outdoor furniture, mattresses, sectionals, grills, pizza ovens, kayaks, e-bikes, scooters, RV accessories, pool equipment, generators, lawn equipment, sheds.

One of the 4 biggest high-ticket weekends of the year and the unofficial start of summer. Because it falls late in 2027, the weather has already turned nearly everywhere, which historically lifts conversion rates on outdoor categories compared to years when it lands in the third week of May.

Run 5 days, Friday May 28 through Tuesday June 1, with tiered offers and the deepest discounts on Saturday and Sunday. Email sequence built by May 7, landing page live by May 24. Google Shopping is the highest-intent channel for this weekend, and the Google Shopping Ads management service handles the seasonal bid ramp for clients who would rather not sit on a bid dashboard through a holiday.

June 2027

June 19: Juneteenth

Federal holiday, long weekend, modest general retail lift. Not a discount event for high-ticket unless you have a genuine community program to anchor it.

June 20: Father’s Day (US)

Relevant for: garage equipment, tool chests, gun safes, BBQ smokers, pizza ovens, fishing gear, e-bikes, scooters, outdoor power equipment, golf simulators.

The best gift holiday of the year for core high-ticket niches, full stop. Father’s Day skews toward functional big-ticket gear, which is exactly where this business model lives, and it lands only 3 weeks after Memorial Day in 2027. Plan them as one connected 5-week campaign rather than two separate pushes, or you will exhaust your list.

Gift guide live by May 18. Three to four emails between Memorial Day and Father’s Day. Write to the gift-giver, usually a spouse or adult child, because they are the one holding the card.

June 21: First Day of Summer

Outdoor, pool, water sports, and RV categories hit their annual peak intent here and hold it through August.

Late June: Amazon Prime Day Window

Relevant for: everyone, defensively.

Amazon moved Prime Day to late June in 2026 and the June window is now the safer assumption for planning. Amazon does not carry most premium high-ticket categories at depth, so it is not a direct competitor, but it absorbs general shopping attention for a full week.

Run your own event the same week and compete on service: white-glove delivery, installation coordination, real phone support, specialist product knowledge. Do not try to out-discount a marketplace.

June: Pride Month

Authentic support if it is real for your brand, silence if it is not. High-ticket buyers scrutinize brands far more than impulse buyers, and performative marketing costs trust exactly where you need it.

July 2027

July 1: Canada Day

Relevant for: Canadian shipping. Outdoor and entertaining skew, functionally their version of July 4.

July 4 and 5: Independence Day

Relevant for: grills, smokers, pizza ovens, pools, outdoor furniture, kayaks, paddle boards, boat accessories, generators, RV, fire pits.

Top-3 high-ticket weekend. July 4 falls on a Sunday in 2027 with Monday July 5 observed, giving you a clean 4-day weekend from Friday July 2. That is a better structure than a midweek July 4, and it usually means stronger Saturday and Sunday numbers.

Same architecture as Memorial Day: tiered offers, heavy retargeting, financing front and center. Mainstream retailers go deep on discount here, so compete on payment terms and delivery instead of matching percentages.

Mid-July: Hurricane Preparedness Ramp

Relevant for: generators, standby power, storm shutters, water pumps, satellite communication.

Atlantic season peaks August through October, but preparation buying starts in July. Have the campaigns built, the inventory confirmed, and the content ranked before you need them, because storm demand does not wait for you to get organized.

Late July: Back-to-School Launch

Relevant for: ergonomic chairs, standing desks, premium monitors, home office furniture, dorm mattresses, campus e-bikes and scooters.

Traditional back-to-school is low-ticket, but the adjacent premium categories are real money. The buyer is a parent, the window runs late July through mid-August, and it closes fast.

August 2027

Early August: Back-to-School Peak

The heaviest 2 weeks for home office and campus categories. Front-load spend, because demand falls off a cliff after mid-month.

Mid-August: State Sales Tax Holidays

Mostly irrelevant to high-ticket because item caps sit between $100 and $1,500 and target school supplies. The exception is energy-efficient appliance holidays in a handful of states, which can apply if you sell appliances. Check your state rules rather than assuming.

August 31: Q4 Planning Deadline

The real August event. Black Friday offers, landing pages, email sequences, and inventory commitments locked by month end. Every year the stores that plan Q4 in October get beaten by the stores that planned it in August, and the gap keeps growing as more operators professionalize.

September 2027

September 6: Labor Day

Relevant for: outdoor furniture, pools, grills, mattresses, appliances, generators, lawn equipment.

The fourth big weekend. End of outdoor season across the northern half of the country and your last clean chance to clear seasonal inventory before Q4 consumes your cash and your warehouse.

Four days, Friday through Monday. Go genuinely deep on discounts for summer-only stock and stay moderate with financing on year-round categories. This is the one weekend where aggressive discounting is the right call in high-ticket, because carrying seasonal inventory into Q1 costs more than the margin you give away.

Mid-September: Hurricane Season Peak

The statistically most active weeks of the Atlantic season. Preparedness categories should be running uncapped budget and rapid-response creative.

September 22: First Day of Fall

Relevant for: fireplaces, patio heaters, fire pits, snow blowers, garage heating, indoor entertainment.

Swap your homepage, ad creative, and email content from summer to fall the week of September 22. Most competitors wait until mid-October, which is 3 weeks of easy advantage.

September 30: Q4 Readiness Checkpoint

Everything locked: offers, pages load-tested, sequences written, inventory confirmed, live chat staffing scheduled, returns policy reviewed. October is for testing, not planning. If suppliers are still the weak link, my complete supplier sourcing guide covers the outreach process end to end.

October 2027

Nothing you do in October converts in October. Everything you do in October converts in November. Plan accordingly.

October 11: Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Relevant for: furniture, mattresses, outdoor clearance. A mid-tier three-day weekend whose real value is warming your list and testing your BFCM creative on a smaller audience.

October 11: Canadian Thanksgiving

Relevant for: Canadian traffic. Modest lift in entertaining and home categories.

Throughout October: Build the BFCM Early-Access List

The highest-ROI work of the quarter. Stand up a dedicated landing page offering first access to Black Friday pricing in exchange for an email or phone number, then drive paid traffic to it all month. On Black Friday you are emailing people who raised their hand instead of shouting at a cold list.

For building and running those flows, Omnisend is what I use and recommend because the automation builder is fast to work in and the SMS tier covers the final-hours messaging high-ticket depends on. For heavier segmentation across complex audiences, Klaviyo is the stronger tool.

October 31: Halloween

Marginal for high-ticket. Home theater and bar or game room setups can run a hosting angle, and that is the ceiling. Spend the day growing your early-access list instead.

November 2027

Thanksgiving lands November 25, the earliest possible date, which gives you a 30-day runway to Christmas instead of the usual compressed version. That extra week is worth real money if you plan for it.

November 11: Veterans Day

Relevant for: safes, ATVs, generators, outdoor recreation, tactical and preparedness categories.

Run a year-round military and veteran discount and lean into it with dedicated outreach on the day. It converts because it is sincere, not because it is a promotion, and it builds durable trust in categories that skew toward military households.

November 11: Singles’ Day

The largest shopping day on earth by volume and almost entirely irrelevant to US-focused high-ticket dropshipping. Worth knowing, not worth planning around unless you have Asian market exposure.

November 25: Thanksgiving

Send a real thank-you email. No discount, no countdown, no urgency. Just gratitude and something useful. It is usually the most-replied-to email a store sends all year, and the contrast makes the next 4 days of promotional messages land harder.

November 26: Black Friday

Relevant for: every high-ticket store.

The biggest single day of the year. Your job is not a flash sale, it is converting people who have been researching you for a month. What actually works at this AOV:

Lead with financing terms rather than discount percentage, because “0 percent APR for 24 months on orders over $1,500” beats “$300 off” in nearly every split test I have seen run.

Stack a moderate 10 to 15 percent discount on top of financing instead of choosing between them. Strip every removable step from checkout, since high-ticket carts abandon at any friction. Staff live chat the entire weekend, because a single pre-purchase question answered in 2 minutes on a $3,000 product is the difference between a sale and a lost order. Tidio pairs AI-assisted responses with human handoff and absorbs the volume spike without hiring for 4 days.

Email cadence: one Thanksgiving morning teasing the offer, one Black Friday morning launching it, one Saturday afternoon on bestsellers, one Sunday evening with last call, one Cyber Monday morning with a shifted offer, one Monday evening on final hours. Six emails in 5 days is correct here and nowhere else all year.

November 27: Small Business Saturday

Genuinely strong for independent high-ticket stores. Lead with your story, your supplier relationships, your service, and the fact that a real person answers the phone. The story is the offer and the discount is secondary.

November 29: Cyber Monday

Relevant for: home office, electronics-adjacent, and gift-purchased categories.

Shift the offer instead of repeating Friday. By Monday the buyer’s anxiety is delivery timing, so guaranteed pre-Christmas shipping usually converts better than another 5 percent off.

Late November: The 30-Day Runway

With Thanksgiving on November 25, you have 4 full selling weeks before Christmas. Most stores dump their entire budget into the BFCM weekend and coast. Hold back 25 percent of December spend for the second week of the month, when competition thins out and cost per click drops while purchase intent stays high.

December 2027

December 1: Giving Tuesday

Only meaningful if you already run a charitable program. Do not invent one on November 30.

December 13: Green Monday

Relevant for: every gift-purchased high-ticket category.

The last realistic purchase day for large items that must arrive before Christmas. Run a “last chance for Christmas delivery” campaign, put a live countdown to your shipping cutoff on the homepage, and email twice that day. This is logistics-driven conversion with nothing to do with price.

December 14: Free Shipping Day

A marketing handle more than an offer, since most high-ticket stores already ship free. Use it as the announcement moment for the final pre-Christmas push.

December 17 to 22: Shipping Cutoff Window

Publish exact cutoff dates by category on every product page. Ambiguity here costs conversions and generates the support load that wrecks your December.

December 24 and 25: Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Stop selling. Send a real holiday message. Rest the team, because the 26th starts the most underrated week on the calendar.

December 26 to 31: The Forgotten Week

Relevant for: everyone, and almost nobody runs it properly.

Most stores go dark or post lazy clearance. The right play is a focused “use your gift money” and “spend the bonus” campaign paired with year-end financing. Buyers are motivated, budgets are loose, and your competitors are offline. It is also the best week of the year to clear slow inventory before the new cost basis.

December 31: New Year’s Eve

The last day of the tax year. For business-buyer categories like commercial equipment, machinery, and office furniture, a Section 179 deduction angle is a legitimate closing lever in the final week.

Canada, UK, and Australia in 2027

For Canada, add Family Day in February, Victoria Day in May, Canada Day on July 1, Canadian Thanksgiving on October 11, and Boxing Day on December 26, which matters far more there than in the US. Canadian buyers participate heavily in Black Friday and Cyber Monday despite both being American imports.

For the UK, Mother’s Day falls in March rather than May, the spring and summer bank holidays function as three-day-weekend sale events, and Boxing Day plus the January sales tradition make late December through mid-January a serious clearance window.

For Australia, the seasons invert, so summer runs December through February. Australia Day on January 26 is a real promotional event, Father’s Day lands the first Sunday of September, and Boxing Day is among their biggest shopping days. Supplier shipping capability is the gating factor on all of it, and my high-ticket niches list flags which categories can ship cross-border without eating the margin alive.

The Stack That Makes This Calendar Executable

Knowing the dates is easy. Executing across email, ads, pages, and support during a high-volume weekend is where stores come apart.

For email and SMS, Omnisend covers holiday automation and urgency messaging at a price that makes sense before you are doing serious volume.

For themes, peak traffic punishes slow stores badly at this AOV. Turbo is built for high-volume conversion-optimized stores and holds up under load. Flex is the more design-forward option in the same family.

For pre-purchase support during peak weekends, staffed live chat converts more $2,000-plus carts than nearly any other single change you can make. Tidio is what most of my clients run through BFCM.

For paid traffic, Google Shopping is the highest-intent channel in high-ticket and the spend curve goes vertical during peak weekends. The Google Shopping Ads management service runs that ramp across all 4 major weekends if you do not want to manage it live.

For the accounting cleanup after a heavy Q4, FreshBooks handles what most operators need. Synder handles the payment-processor reconciliation that gets ugly after a big weekend.

How to Turn This Into an Actual 2027 Plan

Open a 12-month spreadsheet and put every date from this article on its row. Then cut hard until you have 6 to 9 dates left. If you are keeping more than 10, you have not made a decision yet.

For each surviving date, work backward from the sale. Memorial Day 2027 falls May 31, so the email sequence starts May 17, the landing page is built and tested by May 24, inventory is verified by May 26, and paid campaigns launch May 28. Three weeks of preparation for one weekend of execution, and the same pattern repeats for every major event on your list.

Match your budget to your revenue distribution. If Q4 is 40 percent of revenue, it gets 40 percent of the marketing budget, with 10 percent held in reserve for the unpredictable: a viral moment, a competitor outage mid-weekend, a storm event in a preparedness niche. The NRF 4-5-4 retail calendar standardizes month and quarter boundaries, which makes year-over-year comparison honest once you have 2 years of data behind you.

No historical data yet? Lean on the niche patterns above, because which holidays matter for which category stays remarkably stable year to year even when the revenue numbers do not. US Census Bureau retail trade data gives you a reasonable seasonal benchmark in the meantime. The broader NRF winter holiday research is worth reading before you set Q4 targets.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the most important 2027 dates for a high-ticket store?
Memorial Day on May 31, Independence Day weekend on July 2 through 5, Labor Day on September 6, and Black Friday weekend from November 26 through Cyber Monday on November 29. Presidents’ Day on February 15, the spring equinox on March 20, and Father’s Day on June 20 matter significantly for specific niches.

Does the early Thanksgiving actually help?
Yes, if you plan for it. Thirty shopping days between Black Friday and Christmas instead of a compressed window means December has room for a genuine second wave. The mistake is spending the entire budget on BFCM weekend and then going quiet while purchase intent is still high and click costs have dropped.

Should I match mainstream retailer discounts on Black Friday?
No. The margin math does not work in high-ticket dropshipping and you cannot beat retailers buying at scale. Moderate discounts of 10 to 15 percent with strong financing, free white-glove delivery, and value-adds like extended warranties convert better and protect your margin.

When do I start preparing for Black Friday 2027?
August, with everything locked by September 30. October is for testing and refinement only. This gets more true every year as more operators run disciplined calendars.

How do I figure out which dates matter for my niche?
Look at what the big-box retailers in your category promote heavily, since they have already funded the research. Then check your own month-over-month traffic and conversion data, and cross-reference Google Trends volume for your core terms. My free high-ticket niches list covers the seasonal patterns by category.

I do not have a store yet. Is it too late to build for 2027?
No, if you start now. A store built in the fourth quarter of 2026 has a full spring season to find its footing before the first big weekend in May. Getting the legal and banking foundation right comes first, which my business formation checklist walks through, because most serious suppliers will not open an account without it.

Final Verdict

The 2027 calendar has 60-plus dates on it and 4 of them will produce most of your revenue: Memorial Day, July 4 weekend, Labor Day, and Black Friday weekend. Another handful will meaningfully move specific niches. Everything else is noise that costs you margin and list fatigue if you chase it.

Two things about 2027 are worth building around specifically. The early Thanksgiving gives you a 30-day December instead of a cramped one, which rewards stores that hold budget back for the second week of the month. And the late Memorial Day compresses your spring into a tighter, more intense window, which means the outdoor campaign you would normally start in mid-May needs to be ready earlier and hit harder.

Pick your 8 dates. Work backward 3 weeks from each. Lead with financing. Staff your chat. That is the whole system, and it beats a 60-date calendar executed at half effort every single year.
