Here’s the change that a lot of TikTok Shop sellers are going to feel before they understand it. TikTok is updating how Store Rating gets calculated, and the big shift is that Customer Complaint Rate is being replaced by After-sales Handling Time, or AHT, measured on a rolling 60-day window. That means the speed at which you handle refunds, returns, and complaints is now baked directly into the star rating shoppers see next to your storefront.

This is separate from the Account Health Rating change I covered earlier this month, so don’t confuse the two. AHR is about violation points and staying alive on the platform. This new store rating math is about conversion, because a lower visible rating quietly kills your click-through on every product you list.
