Bluetti vs Anker SOLIX in 2026: Both Warranties Stop at the Border

Anker sells its SOLIX power stations on warranty length more than on any other single attribute, and that is a smart pitch because it addresses the thing buyers are actually anxious about. A power station is an expensive box full of lithium that you will not use most of the time and desperately need occasionally. A long warranty says somebody else carries the risk. I run E-Commerce Paradise and I have shipped enough physical product over fifteen years to know that the length of a warranty and the value of a warranty are two very different numbers.

So this comparison spends more time than usual on terms. I read both companies’ published warranty policies line by line, not just their product pages, and I checked the actual warranty period each assigns rather than taking a number off a marketing badge. An earlier version of this article got that wrong in Bluetti’s favour, and correcting it changed the verdict, so I have rewritten the warranty section from the policy documents and said plainly where the conclusion moved.

Everything else follows the same method as the rest of this cluster. Every figure comes from the manufacturer’s own page, every runtime is computed from usable watt hours at 85 percent inverter efficiency, and every cost per delivered kilowatt hour includes both the hardware and the electricity you push through the box.

More delivered energy for the same money

What Anker actually warrants, and for how long

Anker publishes a warranty timeline that assigns a period in months to every product it sells. This is genuinely good practice and more transparent than most of the industry, including Bluetti, as the next section explains.

The portable power stations people actually cross shop against Bluetti all sit in the 60 month band. That includes the C1000, the C1000 Gen 2, the C800 and C800 Plus, the C2000 Gen 2, the F1500, F2000, F2600, F3000, F3800 and F3800 Plus, plus the BP1000, BP2000, BP2600, BP3000 and BP3800 expansion batteries.

Sixty months is five years, which matches the figure on the Bluetti product pages people compare against. The only 120 month entry in Anker’s entire timeline is the subpanel for the F3800, an electrical accessory rather than a power station. If you have seen a ten year figure attached to Anker SOLIX somewhere, that is where it came from, and it does not apply to any battery.

What Bluetti actually warrants, which is not what its product pages imply

This is the section I got wrong the first time, and it is worth being explicit about what changed.

Bluetti’s product pages list a 5 year warranty on the AC180, AC200L, Elite 100 V2, Elite 200 V2, Elite 300, Elite 400 and Apex 300. On the strength of those pages alone it looks like a flat, unconditional five years across the line. It is not.

Bluetti’s own warranty policy page says: “For the product of portable power station, the warranty period varies from 24 months to 72 months.” It adds that there is “No warranty for gifts product and Warranty period may vary by country subject to local laws and regulations.” So the umbrella policy covers a range from two years to six years, and the country you are in can move the number. The five years on those specific product pages is real for those models, but a claim that Bluetti gives a flat five years across its range overstates the policy.

More importantly, the same page carries this: “Note: The limited warranty is restricted to the country of purchase. The warranty will be invalid on the items once they are taken or shipped to other countries.”

That is the same restriction I marked Anker down for in the earlier version of this article, and it turns out Bluetti has it too. Penalising one brand for a clause both brands carry was the error, and correcting it removes what looked like Bluetti’s clearest advantage.

The warranty comparison, done properly

Here is what the two policies actually say, clause by clause, from the published documents rather than from either company’s marketing.

What that table actually shows

The two warranties are far closer than either brand’s marketing implies, and on the specific clauses where they differ, the edge is not consistently Bluetti’s.

Anker is more transparent on length. It names every SKU and assigns it a number of months. Bluetti publishes a two year to six year range and leaves you to reconcile that against whatever the product page says.

Anker is better on two clauses outright. It publishes an explicit carve out saying temporary international travel does not void cover, where Bluetti publishes a flat restriction with no such note. And a replacement unit from Anker carries a floor of 90 days of cover against Bluetti’s 30.

On the clauses people worry about most, they are the same. Both void once the product leaves the country of purchase. Both warrant only to the original purchaser, Anker by explicit statement and Bluetti by warranting “to the original consumer purchaser”. Both exclude unauthorised resellers, misuse, unauthorised repair and expired proof of purchase.

So the honest verdict on warranty is a draw with a slight edge to Anker on documentation and on the replacement clock. That is a reversal of what I published first, and I would rather say so directly than quietly restate it. The practical advice that follows from it is the same for both brands: buy from the manufacturer or a named authorised reseller, keep the invoice and a photograph of the serial number, and if you expect to move country, treat the warranty as covering the country you bought in.

The claims process, on both sides

Anker requires sufficient proof of purchase, the serial number and photographic evidence of the defect, completion of a documented troubleshooting process, and a quality inspection of the returned item. It warns that “warranty coverage on replacement units will be voided if the wrong item is returned or if the defective item is not returned.”

Bluetti requires a purchase order number from its official stores, or a sales invoice or order confirmation email showing the product description, price and sales channel. Its exclusions list runs to eleven items, including misuse, unauthorised modification or repair, purchase from unauthorised resellers, invalid proof of purchase, and “Product wear and tear through the usage of time”.

Neither of those is unreasonable and both are roughly standard for the category. Both mean this is not a walk in and swap it arrangement.

The rest of the comparison, on numbers

Warranty aside, these are competitive units and the C1000 in particular is a genuinely good product. Here is the direct pairing at the price point where both brands compete hardest.

A note on the cost rows. The hardware term is price divided by lifetime delivered energy. The all in figure adds the electricity you buy to fill the pack, which at the 17.30 cent US residential average for 2025 reported by the Energy Information Administration works out to 20.4 cents per delivered kilowatt hour after conversion losses. That term is identical for both units, so it does not change the ranking, but omitting it makes both look far cheaper than they are.

Reading it

Bluetti takes the energy economics. It carries 96 more nameplate watt hours, 81 more usable watt hours, and a cycle rating 500 cycles higher measured to the same 80 percent floor. That compounds into 3,427 kilowatt hours delivered across rated life against 2,693, which is a 27 percent advantage, and $0.349 all in against $0.382.

Anker takes almost everything else in the physical spec. Six AC outlets against four is a real practical difference when you are running a fridge, a router, a laptop, a lamp and a phone charger simultaneously. It is 6.9 lbs lighter. It accepts 100 W more solar. It has Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth, so you can check it from anywhere rather than from the next room.

And it charges meaningfully faster. Converting both published claims into an effective average rate, Anker moves 844.8 Wh in 43 minutes, which is 1,179 W. Bluetti moves 1,152 Wh in 1.3 hours in Turbo mode, which is 886 W. Anker is roughly a third quicker at getting energy back into the pack.

Rated 500 cycles further, to the same 80 percent floor

AC180: 3,500+ cycles to 80 percent original capacity against the C1000’s 3,000, on 979 usable Wh against 898 at 85 percent inverter efficiency. That is about 16.3 hours of fridge runtime at a 60 W daily average, per charge.

Runtimes, from usable watt hours

Usable watt hours is nameplate multiplied by 85 percent inverter efficiency. Runtime is usable watt hours divided by device draw. This is the only correct way to do it, and a runtime computed from nameplate capacity overstates the answer by roughly 15 percent every single time. For what it is worth, 85 percent is generous: Bluetti’s own AC180 runtime table implies only 78 to 81 percent of nameplate actually reaches the load.

The 10 W router and 600 W microwave draws come from device figures the manufacturers publish themselves. The CPAP and fridge rows are worked examples on assumed draws, and I have flagged them as such because both vary enormously between units. A CPAP running a heated humidifier can pull four times the figure above. Measure yours with a plug meter over a full night before you size anything, because guessing on a medical load is not a good habit.

Cycle life, and why the floor is the whole game

Both companies do this correctly, which is worth acknowledging because plenty of brands do not. Anker’s C1000 tech specs list “Battery Life Cycles: 3,000 (80% Capacity)”. Bluetti’s AC180 states 3,500+ cycles to 80 percent original capacity, and its Elite 200 V2, Elite 300, Apex 300 and B300K expansion pack are all rated at 6,000+ cycles to 80 percent.

Both quote to the same 80 percent floor, so for once these numbers are directly comparable and Bluetti simply has more of them. If a spec sheet ever gives you a cycle count without saying what capacity it is measured to, treat the number as marketing rather than engineering. A 6,000 cycle rating to a 70 percent floor is a weaker promise than a 4,000 cycle rating to 80 percent, and the two get printed in the same size font.

Expandability

Anker’s C1000 tech specs list scalability as up to a maximum of 2,112 Wh with an expansion battery, and the product page marks that expansion battery as coming soon. I am reporting that as it appeared on the page rather than assuming availability, because a capability marked coming soon is not a capability you can buy today.

Bluetti’s AC180 is not expandable at all, so at this specific price point neither is a modular platform. If expansion is your requirement, Bluetti’s answer is the AC200L, which its spec page says accepts up to two B210 packs, one B230, or two B300 or B300K packs, or the Apex 300, which accepts up to six packs per unit. Support reputation

I am deliberately not giving you a scored verdict on support quality for either brand, because I could not verify a third party rating from a primary source while writing this, and I would rather leave a gap than fill it with an invented statistic. If you read a comparison quoting a specific claim rate percentage or a specific ownership cost advantage without naming and linking the study, assume it was made up until proven otherwise. That kind of number is extremely easy to fabricate and almost nobody checks.

What is checkable is the contractual position, and that is what the warranty section above is for. Both companies document their policies publicly. Anker publishes a per product warranty timeline; Bluetti publishes a period range plus a country restriction, and lists a staffed US support line with published hours on its site. Judge on the terms, which are enforceable, rather than on forum sentiment, which is not.

Which one, by use case

Lowest cost per delivered kilowatt hour

Bluetti AC180. At $0.349 all in against $0.382 it delivers 27 percent more lifetime energy at effectively the same price, because it carries more capacity and 500 more rated cycles to the same 80 percent floor.

You need lots of outlets

Anker SOLIX C1000, on six AC outlets against four. During an outage the number of things you want plugged in simultaneously is always higher than you expected, and a power strip on an inverter is not always the answer for inductive loads.

You carry it regularly

Anker, at 28.44 lb against 35.3 lbs. Seven pounds is noticeable every time you lift it into a truck bed.

You recharge fast, from a generator or a short grid window

Anker, at an effective 1,179 W against Bluetti’s 886 W in Turbo. Reaching 80 percent in 43 minutes is a genuinely useful capability during rolling outages.

You want to monitor it while away from home

Anker, because the C1000 publishes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth while the AC180 publishes Bluetooth only. If you want that from Bluetti, move up to the Elite line, which publishes both.

You travel with it internationally

Anker, narrowly, and this is the answer that reversed. Anker’s policy explicitly states that temporary international travel does not void coverage. Bluetti’s policy says the warranty “will be invalid on the items once they are taken or shipped to other countries” with no equivalent carve out published. Both void on a permanent move, so if you are relocating rather than travelling, neither warranty follows you and you should budget on that basis. You want the strongest replacement terms

Anker. A repaired or replaced Anker unit carries the remainder of the original period or 90 days, whichever is longer. Bluetti’s equivalent floor is 30 days.

Neither of these lowers your power bill

The hardware term above is what the box costs per unit of energy it moves. It is not the cost of the energy, which you still have to buy.

Charging from the grid at the 2025 US residential average of 17.30 cents per kilowatt hour reported by the Energy Information Administration, and losing 15 percent to conversion, the electricity alone costs 20.4 cents per delivered kilowatt hour before the hardware is counted at all. Add the hardware and the AC180 lands at $0.349 all in, twice grid, and the C1000 at $0.382, roughly 2.2 times grid.

There is no configuration of either brand that beats a wall socket as a way of consuming electricity. What you are buying is availability, and the cases where that is worth real money are specific: outages, off grid and van life, job sites, RV use, medical loads overnight, and any situation where a petrol generator is impossible because you are indoors or because of noise and emissions rules. Those are strong reasons. Saving money on power is not one of them.

Selling in this category

Portable power is one of the better high ticket categories precisely because the buyer wants somebody to walk them through exactly this sort of arithmetic before spending five hundred dollars. Which one should I buy for a CPAP?

Either will run a CPAP for a night comfortably, but do the arithmetic on your own machine before you commit. A CPAP drawing 40 W runs about 24.5 hours on the AC180’s 979 usable watt hours and about 22.4 hours on the C1000’s 898. Turn on a heated humidifier and the draw can multiply several times over, so measure your actual overnight consumption with a plug meter rather than trusting any table, including this one.

Bottom Line

Anker’s warranty pitch is honest about its length, and once you read both policy documents rather than both product pages, it turns out the gap runs slightly the other way from what I first published. Sixty months is a real five years, matching Bluetti’s product page figure. But Anker names a period for every SKU where Bluetti publishes a two to six year range, Anker publishes a temporary travel carve out where Bluetti publishes a flat country restriction, and Anker gives a 90 day replacement floor against Bluetti’s 30. Both void on a permanent move abroad, both warrant only to the original purchaser, and both exclude unauthorised resellers.

On the hardware the split is clean and unchanged. Bluetti wins the economics, delivering 3,427 kilowatt hours over rated life against 2,693 for effectively the same price, which is $0.349 all in per delivered kilowatt hour against $0.382. Anker wins the practicalities with six outlets, seven fewer pounds, Wi-Fi monitoring and a recharge about a third faster.

So buy the Bluetti if lifetime energy per dollar is what you care about and the unit will live in a cupboard until the lights go out. Buy the Anker if you will carry it, plug six things into it, refill it in a hurry, or want the better documented warranty. Just do not buy either one expecting the electricity bill to go down, because all in both deliver power at roughly twice what your utility charges.

Availability, priced honestly
