Cloudways Coupon and Promo Code 2026: What Is Actually Offered Right Now

Affiliate disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. If you buy through them, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Full disclosure

Search for a Cloudways coupon and you will find pages full of codes and big percentages. What I found when I read Cloudways’ own pages on October 7, 2026 is shorter: a 3-day free trial with no credit card, percent-off intro offers that the site describes three different ways, free migration, and a lifetime discount on one support add-on. What I did not find is a code you have to hunt down and type in to get any of it.

I run Ecommerce Paradise, where I teach people to build stores around expensive products. If that model is new to you, start with my explainer on what high-ticket dropshipping is. Cloudways only matters to you if your store or content site runs on WordPress and WooCommerce, because platforms like Shopify include hosting in the plan.

I have not run a test checkout for this post, so every figure below comes from Cloudways’ own pages and one published review, as I read them on October 7, 2026. Where those pages disagree with each other, I say so. Confirm the final total on the signup page before you pay, because promotions change without notice.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission if you sign up through my Cloudways link, at no extra cost to you.

Test Cloudways Free for 3 Days Before You Pay Anything

Cloudways’ pricing page lists a 3-day trial with no credit card required, and its promo page says the new-user discount applies when you upgrade from the trial to a paid plan. Start the trial, then read the checkout total before you commit.

Is There a Cloudways Coupon Code in 2026?

Not one you need to find elsewhere. The promo code page I read says the web hosting promo code “will be applied automatically during the checkout process,” so the discount is attached to the offer, not to a string of letters you paste in.

That same page named a summer code, SUMMER404, and described it as 40% off all plans for four months. Its countdown timer showed an end date of September 16, 2026. When I read the page on October 7, that date was three weeks gone, so either the page had not been updated or the timer is not tied to the real offer. I cannot tell you which. The page also labeled the deal a “Limited-Time Summer Offer,” so I would not treat SUMMER404 as a working code, and I would not count on that 40% figure either.

The practical takeaway is simple. If a coupon site tells you that you must enter a secret code to unlock the Cloudways discount, be skeptical, because Cloudways says new-user offers apply on their own. Your job is to confirm what the cart shows, not to collect codes.

The Offers Cloudways Lists Right Now, and Where They Disagree

Here is the part most coupon pages skip. I read three Cloudways pages, and each one described the discount differently. Rather than pick a favorite, I will lay them out so you know what to look for in your own cart.

The Pricing Page: 30% Off for 3 Months

The pricing page carried the line “Get 30% OFF for 3 Months on All Plans.” It did not say whether the offer was for new customers only, whether it needed a code, or when it ended. The same page listed a 3-day free trial with no credit card required, for both the Flexible and Autonomous products.

The Promo Page: 40% Off for 4 Months

The promo code page was more detailed. It said 40% off all hosting plans for four months, plus unlimited free migrations, and it showed example prices of $11 dropping to $6.60 a month on the Flexible entry plan and $99 dropping to $59.40 on the Autonomous Growth plan. It said the offer is for new users who sign up and upgrade from the free trial to a paid plan, and that it is not available to existing customers.

It also said Cloudways promo codes usually cannot be combined, and that the system accepts only one discount code at a time. And it said discounts typically apply to the initial promotional period of a first-time purchase, after which standard pricing applies.

The Homepage: 30% Off for 4 Months on Autonomous

The homepage advertised “30% off for 4 months” on Cloudways Autonomous specifically, and “30% off on all plans” in its page description. Autonomous is the plan family with Growth, Scale and Plus tiers, and the homepage was the only place I saw an offer tied to it alone.

So Which One Is Real?

I do not know, and I do not think anyone outside Cloudways can tell you from the public pages. The three figures, 30% for 3 months, 30% for 4 months and 40% for 4 months, may reflect an older promotion that was not removed, a seasonal campaign, or different offers by product. Treat the highest figure as a possibility and the lowest as the safe assumption.

The only number that counts is the discounted price in your checkout summary. If it matches the promo page, good. If it matches the pricing page, you still got a discount, just a smaller one.

What the Discounts Are Worth in Dollars

Percentages sound bigger than they are, so I did the arithmetic. The figures below are my own calculations from the listed monthly prices, assuming you pay the full listed monthly price each month. Cloudways bills hourly, so your real bill depends on usage.

Plan (listed monthly price) 30% off, 3 months 40% off, 4 months Full price, 12 months 12 months with 40% for 4
Flexible entry, $11 $7.70 a month, saves $9.90 total $6.60 a month, saves $17.60 total $132.00 $114.40
Autonomous Growth, $99 $69.30 a month, saves $89.10 total $59.40 a month, saves $158.40 total $1,188.00 $1,029.60
Autonomous Scale, $199 $139.30 a month, saves $179.10 total $119.40 a month, saves $318.40 total $2,388.00 $2,069.60

Look at the last two columns. A 40% discount sounds like a big win, but spread over a full year it is a 13% saving, because the promotion covers only four of twelve months. On the entry plan that is $17.60 for the year, which is real money but not a reason to pick a bigger server than you need.

The Support Add-On Is the Largest Single Discount

The pricing page described a lifetime deal on the Advanced Support add-on: “Current price is $100/mo or 10% of your invoice,” with a new discounted price of $25 a month flat, labeled 75% off. If you would otherwise pay the $100 rate, the saving is $75 a month, or $900 a year by my arithmetic.

I could not tell from the page whether the $100 and the 10% of your invoice are alternatives or a floor and a cap, so check the wording at the point you add support. Most new stores will not need paid support at the start, so do not add it just because the discount looks large.

The 3-Day Free Trial: What It Covers and What It Does Not

The pricing page says “3-day free trial, no credit card required.” A TechRadar review of Cloudways, last updated May 1, 2025, says the same: a 3-day trial with no card details needed. Two sources more than a year apart agree, which is more than I can say for the percentages.

Three days is short. You can spin up a server, install WordPress or WooCommerce, run a migration and poke at the dashboard, but you will not see how the site behaves under real traffic or learn how support handles a hard question. I would use the trial to test the specific things that worry you, such as how your theme and plugins load and whether the control panel makes sense to you.

Why the Trial Matters for the Discount

Per the promo page, the new-user offer is for people who “upgrade their accounts from the free trial to a paid plan.” In plain terms, the trial is the front door. If you already have a Cloudways account from an earlier signup, the page says the offer is not available to existing customers.

That means starting a trial with a fresh account is the path that lines up with the offer as written. I could not confirm what happens if you skip the trial, so if the checkout summary does not show a discount, that is a question for Cloudways support before you pay.

A Note on Free Trials and Auto-Billing

No credit card required is the most buyer-friendly version of a free trial, because there is nothing to forget to cancel. The FTC’s advice on trials is blunt: “If you don’t cancel on time, you’ll probably be charged.” You can read the FTC guide to free trials and auto-renewals for the full advice.

The moment you add a payment method and upgrade, billing starts, so write down the date and what you expect to pay. Check your first invoice against your own arithmetic.

Not Sure a Cloud Host Is Worth the Hassle?

Cloudways bills hourly and charges in arrears, lists the first site migration as free, and its trial needs no credit card. Run one real test site through the trial and compare the control panel against what you use today.

How Billing Works After the Discount Ends

Cloudways says it charges hourly, so you pay for what you use, and its terms say the minimum time fraction for billing is one hour. It also bills in arrears: the terms say you get an invoice in the first week of every month for the previous month’s usage. That is different from shared hosting, where you pay a fixed amount up front for a one-year or three-year term.

When the promotional months end, the promo page says standard pricing applies. Nothing I read described a long-term “renewal” jump the way a three-year shared hosting plan does, but the listed price you see today is the standard rate you will pay once the intro discount is over, and I could not confirm whether those rates are guaranteed to stay fixed. If you want the plan-by-plan numbers, my Cloudways pricing breakdown goes through them, though some figures in that older post may have changed since I wrote it.

Refunds and Credits

The terms of service say Cloudways will refund unused prepaid account funds if the request comes within three months of the funds being added, and that the refund does not include the amount already deducted for services used. I did not find a separate money-back guarantee on the pricing page or in the terms, and the TechRadar review says Cloudways does not offer one.

The terms also say that all credits, “whether previously offered or otherwise,” are revocable or subject to early expiration at any time. So treat any promotional credit as something you use quickly, not something you bank for later.

Overage and Add-On Costs That Offset a Discount

A percentage off the base price does nothing about usage charges. The pricing page lists bandwidth overage at $0.02 per GB on DigitalOcean, $0.12 per GB on AWS, and $0.10 to $0.17 per GB on Google Cloud depending on region. Those rates apply on top of any intro discount.

Paid support, off-site backups and extra bandwidth can each move your bill by more than a four-month discount saves. Before you celebrate a low intro price, work out what the server costs once you add the things you will actually use.

Free Migration and the Other Perks That Work Like Discounts

For many people, the most valuable offer is not a percentage at all. If you already have a WordPress site, moving it is the part you dread, and Cloudways lists free migration as part of the plans.

The migration page I read says the first website is migrated free by Cloudways’ experts, and that unlimited WordPress sites can be moved free using its WordPress Migrator plugin. For non-WordPress applications, the first migration is free and additional ones cost $99 per site. It says migrations usually finish within one to two business days depending on complexity, and describes the process as zero downtime, a claim I could not test.

Perks on the Autonomous Plans

On its homepage, Cloudways lists Free Cloudflare Enterprise, which it values at $250, and Object Cache Pro as included with the Autonomous plan. Those are real line items if you would otherwise buy them, but only if you need what they do. A store without heavy traffic may not.

The Autonomous tiers listed on the pricing page are Growth at $99 a month, Scale at $199, Plus at $399, and a custom Enterprise tier. For a new store that is a large step up from the $11 entry server, so I would start with the cheaper product unless you already know you need autoscaling.

How to Claim and Verify an Offer at Checkout

Because there is no code to chase, the process is about checking what you see. The trial stretches it over a few days, but it only takes a few minutes of attention and it protects you from the mismatches I described above.

  1. Open the pricing page and write down the listed price for the plan you want, plus the offer wording next to it.
  2. Sign up for the free trial if you are a new customer, since the new-user offer is described as tied to upgrading from the trial.
  3. Build or migrate one real test site during the trial, not an empty server.
  4. When you upgrade, read the checkout summary for the discount line, the number of months it covers, and the price after the promotion ends.
  5. If a promo code field appears, enter a code only if you have one, and compare the total with and without it, since the site says only one code applies at a time.

If the numbers match what you expected, you can go ahead and start your Cloudways trial here. If they do not, stop and ask support to explain the difference before you enter payment details.

If You Already Have a Cloudways Account

The promo page says the offer is not available to existing Cloudways customers. If you already have an account, I would not create a second one just to chase a percentage, because that could create account and billing problems. Ask support what, if anything, applies to your account.

Third-Party Coupon Sites: What I Would Do

Coupon sites will happily list Cloudways codes, and I did not verify any of them. A code that worked last month may not work now, and since Cloudways says its current offer applies automatically, a site claiming you must enter a code to get a discount is mostly guessing.

If a site asks you to create an account, hand over personal data, or pay for a code, close the tab. The only dependable sources are Cloudways’ own pages and your cart.

Look at the Crossed-Out Price Skeptically

Cloudways’ promo page shows prices like $11 crossed out next to $6.60. That is common across the industry, and it is worth a second look at what the “regular” price is. The FTC’s pricing rules say a former price used in a comparison should be the actual, bona fide price at which the item was offered to the public on a regular basis for a reasonably substantial period, and you can read the FTC pricing guides in the eCFR yourself.

I am not suggesting Cloudways’ $11 is anything other than its normal listed price. I am saying the comparison that matters is between what you pay after the discount and what you would pay elsewhere for the same server, not between two numbers on one page.

My Broader Rules for Hosting Deals

I cover the general approach across hosts in my guide to web hosting coupons and discounts, though prices in older posts may be out of date. For this host, use the live pages for numbers and my posts for the logic.

Should You Wait for Black Friday?

Black Friday falls on November 27, 2026. I could not verify what Cloudways has offered during past seasonal sales, so I will not promise a deeper discount.

If you are still choosing a niche and have no store yet, waiting costs you nothing. If you need hosting now because a site is live or a launch date is set, do not delay for a possible sale, since the free trial lets you test without paying. My notes on web hosting Black Friday deals cover how to think about seasonal pricing across hosts.

Who Should Skip Cloudways

Cloudways is a managed cloud host, not a store builder. If your store runs on Shopify, you do not need separate hosting at all, because the platform covers it. Buying a Cloudways server on top would just be an extra bill.

Skip it if you want a fixed price you can budget to the cent, because hourly billing in arrears means your invoice varies with usage. Skip it if you have never touched a server dashboard and want the simplest possible setup, since a shared host with a one-click installer may feel friendlier. And skip it if you have not picked what you are selling yet, because hosting is a recurring cost, and my high-ticket niches list is a better place to spend that first week.

Who It Fits

Cloudways makes sense if you run WordPress with WooCommerce, you have outgrown a cheap shared plan, and you want a managed layer without hiring a sysadmin. It also suits people who run several sites and want them under one dashboard. If that is you, my walkthrough on how to set up Cloudways for a WooCommerce store shows what the first hour looks like, though menus change.

One more practical point: a hosting bill is a recurring business expense, so put it on a business card and in your books from the start. My business formation guide covers where recurring costs like this fit alongside your entity and bank account.

Alternatives to Compare Before You Commit

If the pricing model does not suit you, compare it against other managed and shared hosts such as Kinsta, WP Engine, SiteGround and Hostinger. I did not verify their current prices for this post, so check each plan page and compare the price after the intro period, not the headline. The same five questions apply everywhere: the intro price, how long it lasts, the standard price afterward, the refund terms and the migration policy.

My Verdict on Cloudways Coupons in 2026

As of October 2026, I could not verify a Cloudways coupon code that you need to enter. What exists is a 3-day free trial with no credit card, a new-user discount that the pages describe as 30% for 3 months, 30% for 4 months or 40% for 4 months depending on where you look, free migration, and a lifetime discount on Advanced Support.

The deal is real but modest over a year. At most it saves about 13% across twelve months on the entry plan, and the headline percentage may be lower than the promo page suggests. If a managed WordPress host fits your store, Cloudways is worth testing through the trial, with the checkout total as your final judge.

If you are brand new to all of this, start with my free mini course before you spend anything on hosting. If you want a person to look over your plan, you can ask about coaching. Either way, the numbers here are what the pages said on one day, so confirm them before you pay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a working Cloudways coupon code right now?
At the time of writing (October 2026), the promo page I read says the code is applied automatically at checkout, so you do not need to hunt for one. The page showed a September 16, 2026 countdown that had already passed, so confirm the discount line in your cart or see the current offer through Cloudways before you pay.

Does Cloudways have a free trial?
Yes. The pricing page lists a 3-day free trial with no credit card required, and a TechRadar review last updated in May 2025 reports the same terms. Three days is short, so decide in advance what you want to test.

Can I combine two Cloudways promo codes?
The promo page says codes usually cannot be combined and that the system accepts only one discount code at a time during checkout. It also says the new-user offer is not available to existing customers.

What happens when the discount ends?
The promo page says discounts typically apply to the initial promotional period of a first-time purchase, after which standard pricing applies. Cloudways bills hourly and charges in arrears, so you will see the standard rate on the invoice issued after the promotional months end.

Can I get a refund from Cloudways?
The terms of service say unused prepaid account funds can be refunded if you ask within three months of adding them, minus what you already used. I did not find a separate money-back guarantee, and TechRadar’s review says there is none, so read the current terms before you add funds.
